My shower is a surprise... now I'm super suspect of ANY weekend activity... I feel like they're all shower traps!! Anyone else do this?

I knew when mine was, but I had friends that did that....every weekend they had to get really dressed up for every activity in case it was their shower.

I just heard about a baby shower in my family... but its early June, which I think is too early for my shower, b/c my wedding is October... or maybe they're tryign to throw me off...?? AHHH!!!!

I will be thinking this exact same thing soon! I don't think my family has started planning it yet, but I am thinking about dresses and such. I would imagine mine will be in July or August.

I've had baby and bridal showers to go to over the last few weekends...each one I thought for a second might be mine...but they weren't...
Plus I've been swarn off checking my registry...so I understand your feeling of paranoia...everytime someone wants to do something on a Saturday or Sunday from now until August I'm going to suspect it's my shower!

once july rolls around im going to start getting really paranoid
i have a suspicion that my shower is going to be on a friday night - i havent told anyone that (well, because i cant!) but it felt good to let it out! i know my mom and fsil want to catch me off guard so i think they might do a friday night shower....but thats just my guess....i dont even want to say anything to FH about it b/c he made me promise to act surprised even if i figure it out because they are really trying hard to surprise me....but im like a sherlock holmes without even trying to be one!

LMAO... I felt that way yesterday. I got an invitation to a baby shower that is in June…. And the rsvp date was like for 4 days b/4 the actual shower…. Also, I dunno how they even got my address b/c normally they send anything of mine to FH (it is one of his firehouse buddies wife) When I told FH I was invited, he acted a little surprised, but I dunno it was shady….. anyway, so the wheels start spinning in my head, I go down stairs and my mom was asking like a million questions about the invite, so I was like… man my mom is so obvious! Now I begin to get upset b/c I think I just spoiled my own surprise, and my mom was like, “oh that is ur sisters dance recital” so I was like, “I guess I can not go to the baby shower than” and **poof** back to reality… no shower yet….. I want to be surprised so badly… but that is going to be so hard for my family…. I still have a feeling deep down inside that something is fishy about the baby shower and my sisters recital……
I felt like I am Inspector Gaget!!!
ETA: The only reason why i think they would do it so early is b/c my grandmother goes to italy from July until early September.....

I keep cathcing everyone in lies which is frustrating but I know they're all doing it for me. I have a few ideas about when it can be but I'm sure I'm going to get a lot worse.
