We talked about it all the time-and I usually know when FH is doing something (he gets weird) but I was VERY surprised and had NO CLUE!!!! I think my radar was off for a few hours!

Not surprised, I found the receipt for the center stone in his jeep. He still has no idea about this. We also talked about it and I was asked to choose three styles I liked.

I knew that it was coming but i did not expect it to be August 4th - I thought for sure that he was going to do it on our cruise in two weeks

I was suprised when he did. We were together for a while and never really brought it up. We are a more step by step couple I was shocked when he did.

I wasn't surprised when he gave me the actual ring, since we went and had it made together...but I was really surprised when he asked me and asked if I would go look at rings with him. We had bought a house a month before and we discussed putting off the engagement for a while. So that was a great surprise!!!!!!!!!

We had been talking about it and when I found the ring I wanted FH said he couldn't afford it so he'd have to save up and we would get engaged at a later time but he was just lying to throw me off track and he literally proposed on the most random day so I never saw it coming!

ME2 only we were dating for 8 yrs... and a few weeks b4 it happened he was acting really strange. I thought he was up to something but not the good something LOL but I was too distracted to give anything much thought becasue I was a BM in my girlfriends wedding and we had sooo much going on at the time....He proposed the night b4 the wedding and I later found out that I was driving all over town with the ring stashed away safely in my car!

I was surprised when my FH took me to pick out my diamond and setting for the engagement ring! Then I didn't think I would be surprised because I knew it was coming, but he still made me wait almost 4 months before I got it! On Valentine's Day, 2005, he set me up to think I was getting my ring, but I went home empty handed ( and quite upset). The very next afternoon he sent a limo to surprise me and pick me up from work and the rest is history!

We talked about it a lot and went to look at rings a few times. We went to Hawaii in April and i thought that it would be the perfect time(and my friends kept telling me I bet it happens when your there.) I really didn't think it was a possibility at that time anyway. Then on the 4th day there he proposed while we climbed diamond head. I was VERY surprised!

We always talked about it. And over the past few years we looked at rings and I showed him types I liked but always left it up to him to pick it out. I didn't want something I picked but wanted something he had to think about and picked from his heart.
But after 7 years I knew it was coming soon. And we began talking about it more at that point. But I had no idea of exactly when/where he would do it. I am happy about that. I was completely shocked when he proposed.

I was completly shocked! Whenever I thought of the moment I would get engaged I always thought that I would know I was getting engaged, but I had no idea!

I was TOTALLy surprised. We had moved to NC together and just bought a house. We, of course, talked about getting married, but I didn't think he could afford it after we just bought the house. My ring was a Christmas gift. He brought me to our new house (we weren't moved in yet) and I totally thought I was getting a puppy!
