I'm helping make plans for a friend's b-day, and she really wants to go out for Sushi and do Kareoke - she has an amazing voice.
We want to stay in Nassau County, preferably not too far out - a bunch of the people going out live in the Hewlett area.
So, we need a good Sushi restaurant that also has Japanese food, for those of us who don't eat sushi, preferably in the vicinity of a decent kareoke bar. Any suggestions? TIA!

Re: Sushi restaurants and Kareoke Bars in Nassau
I'm not sure where a kareoke bar is but there are 2 good Japanese/sushi restaurants in the Mineola/Carle Place area. There's Jani in Mineola (and I think Hicksville too) and there's another place called Mikado (I think) on Glen Cove Road in Carle Place. I haven't been there but FH went and said they have a really good sushi buffet. I think it's $29pp.

There's Shiro in Carle Place (right on Old Country Road across from COSTCO), both my parents are sushi snobs and they love going there instead of to queens for sushi or japanese food.
Mikado is a japanese seafood buffet (on glencove road), but they also have excellent cuisine.
As for karaoke bars, i'm not an avid seeker, so i apologize for the lack of help on that subject.

I heard Tai Show in Massapequa, right near All American Burger on Montauk Hwy is great.
I LOVE the Tai Show in Levittown. Its one of my favorites.
