suzanne.. i feel for you today

i forgot.. today there is a bbq with one of mikes family sides...

the one aunt and uncle dont care for me and think mike changed when he started dating me... (which he didnt, he changed years before me) and recently excluded mikes parents and us from a party...

the other aunt and uncle.. the aunt is jealous.. the one cousin is upset thinking the oldest cousin should be married first.. the other cousin is just an alcoholic, and the third one is on ridalin...

the only people we still like to see there are his parents and his grandparents.. and his brother but he's not able to make this one

urggg.. i hate family gtgs with his side.. at least you like his parents right?

I envy those out there with great relationships with their inlaws...

and the worst is i want to get ready to go already and frank is still sleeping.,. hes got 10 more minutes before i start freaking out!

i like the inlaws.. but it really did take TIME..

we get along with his other side of the family.. which is 4 aunts, 4 uncles, 6 cousins, 1 grandma...
we get along with all of those..

but its THIS side that its sooooooooooo boring there.. and tried sooooooooo hard to be nice to them, i went out of my way to buy birthday gifts, christmas gifts.. which never got reciprocated..
they are the only people who have not given us congrats on your engagement cards..

Suzanne - Just remember, it isnt perfect for everyone. My relationship with my husbands mother improved after the wedding a bit, but after she trashed me so much to the relatives during the planning of our wedding, the treatment the relatives gave me, I will never see them again. I just see his immediate family on holidays. I guess you will figure out what works best for you so you dont have to get aggrevated.
