Hi ladies! After reading some posts on here, I finally decided to join because all of you ladies are so helpful!
My fiance and I are getting married in June of 2014 and we booked the Swan Club (Camelot Room). We fell in love with the grounds when we visited and it is special for us because his parents had their wedding reception in the room that we have. However, I'm starting to freak out and think that the room we have is too small since we're expecting to have somewhere around 170 to 200 guests.
Has anyone had their reception or been to a wedding at the Swan Club in the Camelot Room? Did you feel that the room was too small? We're planning on having a band at the wedding and I'm afraid that the band is going to take up a lot of room on the dance floor.
Thank you in advance!

I've never been to Swan Club so I can't help you out with that but just wanted to say Congrats and how sweet you're reception is in the same room as his parents.

Swan Club
My FH Brother and his wife had their reception in Camelot room and had about 180 guest come and invited about 200 and their wedding was just fine. Everyone fit comfortably and the DJ set up in the corner to the left side of the little fire place thing if you are looking at it dead on I think a band would fit fine there too. Also years before that my FH Mother and Step Father also got married there too, funny bc you parents got married their too lol and they had a rather large wedding as well AND they had a 7 piece band and everyone from what I heard danced and had a fantastic time. That was like 12 years ago and I did not know my fiancé back then so I can only go on word of mouth and pictures haha
When we looked there they told me that they can hold up to 220 in that room so I think you will be fine, I wouldn't worry about it. I really liked it there but I wanted to do something different since 2 people in the family had gotten married there and one rather recently. Good Luck!

I went to a wedding there a few weeks ago. They had 150 people. They set up two tables on the dance floor, but there was plenty of space to move about.
I will say I though, the cocktail hour room was kind of small and difficult to move around in. But they had a nice outdoor area that was tented, except no one was really sitting out there I guess they wanted to be close to the food lol. Everyone managed fine and it was a beautiful wedding.

Thanks girls! I think I need to go visit again because whenever I think about the room in my head, I can't see more than 10 tables fitting comfortably in the room. The room is very deceiving!
Another question for you girls - was there viennese hour at the weddings you went to? If so, do they set it up on the dance floor?

I work right by Swan Club and went there recently with a friend that was looking. We went on a Friday afternoon and they were all set up for another wedding... I'm not sure if it was the same room, but it didn't feel small at all. Congratulations on booking there - it's beautiful!
I don't remember ever being at a wedding with a Viennese Hour, but the place I am looking at said they offer it and they set it up outside of the main room so it doesn't take away from the dance floor. I'm sure if you didn't want it there and the hall had the room, they would be willing to set it up somewhere else. Good luck!

Vienesse was set up right outside the ballroom, in the lobby between the ballroom and the bathrooms. - Where the BP made their entrance..(closer to the ballroom though so it was still private).
