Please post pic of the cake if the Swan Club was the one who provided or a pic of the cake that you showed them and they said they can make. Thanks

Re: Swan Club Brides
I wanted to bump this thread b/c I'm hearing a lot of mixed reviews about the Swan Club's wedding cake.
FH and I really don't want to spend hundreds of extra $$$ on a cake from an outisde vendor since ours is being provided by the hall, but I'm not sure what to do after hearing bad things about their cakes.
Can anyone who's been to a wedding there or has been married there please shed some light on this?

No responses yet. Thanks for posting this. The suspense is killing me too and I also opted for their cake and really not feeling the idea of having to buy one

I just read some reviews on the review board about the Swan Club. 99% of them were very positive, but almost all of them said something not so great about their wedding cake! It was either too plain or not what they asked for. One bride said it tasted good though.
When FH & I pick our menu, I will make sure to bring pictures of cakes with me and let them know that I absolutely do NOT want a pyramid cake that is all white!

Re: Swan Club Brides
OK, here is my cake! A few comments, though..... 1.) I really didn't care about the cake, so I just told them that we wanted tiers. The florist left a bouquet of flowers and let the kitchen decorate it (I told the florist that was fine with me). I was not wild about how they placed the flowers, so if I had to do it again, I would have just left the flowers off, had the florist do it, or tell them to put them on TOP of the cake, not on the side of it. Also, I would have told them to leave off the swans!
2.) We got a carrot cake, because that was what DH really wanted. It wasn't bad, but tasted more like a spice cake than a carrot cake to me. My SIL still tells me she loved it and ate a second piece. I thought it was OK. I would probably stick with the standard yellow or chocolate cake. Again, I didn't really put that much thought into the cake since I figured by that time people had eaten so much other food, that they might not even eat that much of it. The Swan Club also gives you a second dessert, so I didn't worry about it. I was not about to spend another $500+ on a cake.
Wow! your cake is nice. I've seen some other photos of their cakes and they were not nearly this nice.

I think the things that I have heard about the cakes are if you want something unusual or unique, they may not come out that impressive. I guess if you stick with the traditional type cake, they do those better.

Re: Swan Club Brides
all I want is a pretty cake (for the pictures) nothing fancy... but I also want it to taste good too.
I've heard that it does taste good there (depending on what you get and your taste of course).
One bride posted a pic of this pyramid looking cake from her wedding that was all white and plain looking. I think it was on the review board for the Swan Club. She was not happy with it at all... but she did say it tasted good.

Re: Swan Club Brides
I'm not a swan club bride but went to a wedding there and this was the cake....
Thank You ladies so MUCH ! the tier cake is fine for me I like the look, so if that's what I get i will be okay. Like most of the ladies my concern is that it looks good in pictures, no offense to my guest I can care less if they hate the way it tastes, cause everyone is going to have something good or bad to say.

I was a little nervous about the cake thing to but when I met with the maitre 'd she kind of eased my worries a little bit. So we'll see in September I guess.

Re: Swan Club Brides
I got married at the swan club. I hated my cake. Not that it tasted bad but its not what I asked for! I asked for a square cake and I got a pyramid. Looked IDENTICAL to the cake above. It was also VERY plain so thank GOD my florist put the flowers on for me.

I was more worried that it tasted bad...I see from the pics that they are kind of plain...but honestly I have not remembered the cake from any wedding that I went to

Re: Swan Club Brides
Should I even bother bringing them a pic or should I just leave it to chance???
