Re: Swan Club Brides
You could bring them a pic but I heard if its something 'difficult' they will charge you. You can bring them a picture of my pyramid and tell them thats NOT what you want Seriously I walked in and that was the first thing I saw and I was like W*T*F its so ugly It didn't ruin my day though When I told the guy what I wanted he said ok it will look like this and he drew a little picture of how I wanted it to look. And then I got that.

I mean I see all of the cakes on here from other reception halls and they look so awesome....I guess they get them from bakers. The Swan Club cakes look like the cake my mom had at her reception 30 years ago

Re: Swan Club Brides
thanks for the info. I may try telling the BM at the swan club what i have heard (obviously not mentioning names or where) to make them aware so they can shape up by September, maybe it will work .

If anyone wants to, feel free to use the photo of my cake if you think it would help I'll even FM a copy to you if you want it.
I didn't actually see the cake until they wheeled it out for the cake cutting. Some of the halls do use outside bakers, so that might explain why some are so much better, but I am sure that is reflected in the pp price as well.

Re: Swan Club Brides
Hello ladies, this appears to be the only current Swan Club Brides thread so am hoping to keep sharing info about our great location. If anyone has anything else to share please post. I'm getting married in the pavillion and having my reception at the garden room.

I am getting married in the Pavallion too and i dont know if you know this but they put new carpeting down in the pavallion. Also, did you know that they only drape the tulle on the ceiling for the ceremony??? Did anyone discuss this with you?

Is the carpet better??? Yes they did inform me that they only drape the tulle on the ceiling. I am having my florist make some extra arrangments to have by the arch up front. My florist also gave me the option of using my centerpiece flowers during my ceremony, but i opted not to. I don't mind just the tulle.

The carpet is very nice - i was very happy when i saw it :) I too am only using the tulle on the ceiling. Do you know if they provide the runner or does my florist have to do that??

Re: Swan Club Brides
I am also getting married in the pavillion and last Sunday I was there right after a wedding in the pavillion. They did put new carpet in and I really like it. It is much better than the one they had before.
Secondly the tulle draped on the ceiling and they have they Ivy plants hanging looked absolutely beautiful. This was the first time I got to see it all set up and there were pillars in between the first few seats I assumed their must have been flowers on there for the ceremony but I can tell you it is defintely not necessary. I may have my florist do a stand up piece(1 or 2) by the altar That's it. Otherwise I am very happy with the room and it looked so beautiful. I will also have the french doors open and that scene alone with the garden in the back I don't want to cover that up with too man flowers either. It is such a great set up.

FH and I went for our tasting about a month or two ago. There was snow on the ground still. How beautiful it was. Hey, does anyone else know a bride getting married there on 9/23/05? I was hoping we could get together and do a bathroom basket or something?

I am also getting married in the pavillion but I won't be using the arch from them my florist will bring his own arch and flowers and also put tulle on the chairs (drapping) with flowers at every other chair. I am also getting my own runner but it will be personalized, I got 125 feet just incase.
I was there yesterday just to visit and the flowers are very nice, I can't wait to see it in June.
Where is everyone having the cocktail hour? Are you putting anything on the cocktail tables?
