Anyone have any experience with the cakes from Swan Club? Taste? Design?

Re: Swan club cakes
I'm waiting for some of the '09 Swannies to post about it too! I have heard that they changed their baker a couple of years ago and that the cakes are REALLY good now!

When you booked, did they mention to you about the showcase they hold in the beginning of the year? That's when they have cake samples for tasting. I'm so looking forward to tasting cake
What is it that you're particular about moreso, the taste of it or the design?

Well you've got plenty of time. I think there's quite a few '09-ers who are getting married there this summer...once they post reviews and photos, you'll have a better idea of what kind of design the pastry chef at SC is capable of.

At the showcase, I had their cakes and they were all excellent!!! They did change bakers and this baker is phenonminal! He also bakes the rolls and anything else you can think of...
red velvet is an option and it was delish at the showcase... thats what im getting for mine!
as for styles, i think they will attempt whatever picture you give them... but if you want something very intricate, you're better off going with an outside baker...

I thought the cake was amazing. I asked for buttercream and they made it happen. Everyone said it was really good. And here is a picture of my cake. I have a better pic that I can post later if you want.
