I almost feel like this is a rude question - but the curiousity is killing me so I apologize in advance.
We're booked at The Swan Club for 7/24/09 (a Friday night.) When we first went there we loved it and the price they gave us was the best of all 6 places we went to. We were also trying to book as fast as possible to make sure we didn't lose the date, so we really didn't bargain at all.
Anyway, we're paying $75 pp and it's $20 extra for the Platinum package. Is this similar to other prices or should I be kicking myself? Thanks!

Re: Swan Club Pricing?
I think the pricing I received was about $65-70 for a saturday afternoon and $98 for a saturday evening in september.

Ok good. I'm a little mad at asking the question now bc if someone told me they DID get a much better deal there's not much I could do about it now anyway.

You're not gonna find a RH with much cheaper pricing than they have... if thats what you mean... But I really dont think SC screws people around like that... I think they pretty much give a set price based on the time of yr and the yr that you booked it in... I booked last summer so there may be like a $5 price difference for people who book the RH this year....
And I know they are pretty honest for the simple fact that we asked them if they would cut the tax out for us if we paid them all cash, and they came right out n said they didnt do things that way but they know some RH's do do that

We were fine with the price - I was just worried because everyone always says how you're never supposed to pay the first price you're quoted and always try to bargain for more. But we were happy with everything so we just signed the contract without trying negotiate.

OHHHH... yeah well we didnt negotiate the price b/c seriously, its so low, we thought that would be like a slap in the face... BUT what we did negotiate was 'if you lower the minimum, we'll add viennese' so they dropped min from 165 to 150... but turns out this didnt even matter b/c we're expecting to meet that min no problem and we actually upgraded the menu.... so we're paying $115pp with all tax and grat!

Their prices are definitely the best. I was shocked when they told me how low it was for such a beautiful place!

I know.. that's why when we first saw it I thought there was something wrong with it that I was missing. But I've read nothing but good things - I think the only negative I saw was that the bathrooms were tiny but I can live with that.

I saw that too. But its not actually the bathroom itself that is small, i think its the stalls! But, the bathrooms are very pretty, and if thats the only negative about the place , then i think we are going to be just fine! I will be sure to write a very detailed revew!
