swan club review
i attended a wedding a few weeks ago and never posted my review---
the grounds were beautiful--very, very pretty--great for pics!
the cocktail hour was in a separate room--overlooking the lake--it was a gray wooden room---w/ outside type chairs which were uncomfortable---i didn't care for this room at all.........the cocktail hour food was pretty good--i had some type of fish and it was kind of boney though---i hate when fish has bones in it and you can't even enjoy it! the bride and groom only had about 5 choices for the cocktail buffet---there was a chicken choice which was good and the eggplant was good too........
the reception room was the one with 2 levels--again i didn't like the room b/c my table was all of the way in the back on the second floor and you couldn't see what was going on on the dance floor---i always had to leave my seat to catch a glimpse of everything------
the service was good
i didn't care for the cake either ---it had a weird taste to it---it was a yellow type cake and i think th e filling was canole (we were all trying to guess what it was)!..........we also got another dessert which was delicious--it was a pastry that had ice-cream in the middle-----------
overall--this place was just ok----the grounds are obviously their selling point----oh and their matre d seemed to be on top of things as well------let me know if you have any other questions and i will try to answer them.......oh and one more thing----i had the chicken for the main course and it was pretty good the vegetables (especially the potatoes) were very good-------other people at my table got the prime rib and EVERYONE'S was very fatty-(gross!)..... and not cooked the way they wanted it!--------that's it!!
