Swan Club Review ***UPDATE***

My 1st RH tonight girlies!!!! I'm excited and nervous at the same time Hopefully I'll be as excited about the Swan Club after seeing it as I have been for the past month or so Wish us luck girs!!!

The staff is soo nice and not pushy whatsoever... not trying to sell their ****... Thats the last thing I wanted!

FH immediately was like I love the area its in... So we went inside and had Jordana take us around. The grounds really are pretty even without the tulips!!! They are trying to sell us on the Garden room as oppossed to the Camelot room because we're not exactly sure if we'd meet the minimum for Camelot (I put together a list of 150, but needs to be added to it)

For anyone who is interested:::
Camelot min = 165, max = 220
Garden min = 120, max = 165

The garden room's cocktail hour sets up in the ceremony area which I really dont care for too much (Room itself is pretty, but I dont want both in the same room).... Camelot rooms CH is beautiful!!!!

So on that note, FH is determined to meet that 165 LOL

They have 2 different menus: (Prices are for a Sunday afternoon in Aug)
1. Silver- $70 p/p (+tax & 18% serv chrg = $89.75)
2. Platinum- $90 p/p (+tax & serv chrg = $115.35)

Basically, the difference between the 2 is that the Platinum includes:
- CH: Seafood bar, Pasta station, & an Ice Sculpture
- RH: 4 entrees as oppossed to 3, Intermezzo, & Vienesse display

*Both packages have the same food choices* So its not like theres better food on the more expensive menu

Ok now looking at your pics....CH room is where my cousin and a friend of mine had theres. The camelot room is where my cousin had her ceremony, my friend in the chapel and I am 99% sure she had her CH there also. I have been to 3 weddings in all 3 rooms and they are all nice!!!! Good luck!!! I love it there but, just cause my cousin did it there makes me not want to look. I don't want to here the comparisions!!!

I totally hear ya!!! I feel the same way when I'm asked why I'm not looking at RH's in New Rochelle... Sry, but cant I choose some place where a fam member HASNT had their wedding already???

This is prob the 1st and last stop for us!! Fh & I arent the type to really shop around... I did most of my research online and feel this place suits us... We are just going to try to have lunch there this week to try out the food and if we like it, it'll be booked that day For the price, you absolutely cannot go wrong

Before you sign the contract tell mike that you dont want the garden room that you want the camelot room but, you only have 150 people, i think they might be able to bring the minimum done to 150 for you


I thought that was kinda high for a sun afternoon wedding... I was expectin them to say 150... I even asked Jordana... well what happens if you cant meet the minimum? would you work with us/throw something in, etc..? And they said they would soooo... I'm booking Camelot either way... I had planned on spending around 15k for the RH & meeting the 165 would be just under that amt so I have no prob with it

We're also going to see if they will throw something in for paying with cash... We asked if they would drop the tax, but we spoke to another guy that said they dont do things like that... they are honest... But hey, doesnt hurt to ask right!?!?!

I was hoping for the cash thing also but, I guess not... I cant blame them though but, I'm sure you can work something out with the minimum guarentee, I'm really sure especially if that means you will book with them. Also remember that you only pay half for vendors

Hmmf... I was going to go either tomorrow or Thurs... I will ask FH what he wants to do & maybe we can meet e/o! Oh I forgot to ask you! Did they offer you that 48 hr incentive to book??? B/c they never said anything to us about it

I have heard from many girls that booked, that they were told that if they booked within 48hrs of receiving their quote, they would get a free night at the roslyn the night of the wedding

Maybe they did away with that??? Or maybe we were do damn excited with the place so they never had to offer

FH must have fcuked it up for us ... You should have heard him... I can only imagine how ripped off we're gonna get when shopping for cars and houses b/c he makes it sooo obvious when he likes things

that sounds like me.. i dont know how to hide when I am excited. You should have a plan on how to respond the next time you are going to book something, I'm going to try that.

I sometimes wonder if we could have gotten it for cheaper if I kept my mouth shut.. I always hear people say talk them down from the price they give you because they can always go loweeeeer

And I am soo dumb... I should have told them who I was referred by, maybe that would have helped... We got along really well with one of their dj's at an expo... He would def rem us.. I think we talked more abut the swan club than his own dj company

The DJ refferal should also help but, I know that Mike said if we had another Sunday our minimum wouldn't be so high but, i have a holiday weekend sunday. So if my minimum is 165 you should have no problem with 150...
