Swan Club Review ***UPDATE***

Original post by FuTuRe MrS MaZz

My 1st RH tonight girlies!!!! I'm excited and nervous at the same time Hopefully I'll be as excited about the Swan Club after seeing it as I have been for the past month or so Wish us luck girs!!!

***UPDATE***

The staff is soo nice and not pushy whatsoever... not trying to sell their ****... Thats the last thing I wanted!

FH immediately was like I love the area its in... So we went inside and had Jordana take us around. The grounds really are pretty even without the tulips!!! They are trying to sell us on the Garden room as oppossed to the Camelot room because we're not exactly sure if we'd meet the minimum for Camelot (I put together a list of 150, but needs to be added to it)

For anyone who is interested:::
Camelot min = 165, max = 220
Garden min = 120, max = 165

The garden room's cocktail hour sets up in the ceremony area which I really dont care for too much (Room itself is pretty, but I dont want both in the same room).... Camelot rooms CH is beautiful!!!!

So on that note, FH is determined to meet that 165 LOL

They have 2 different menus: (Prices are for a Sunday afternoon in Aug)
1. Silver- $70 p/p (+tax & 18% serv chrg = $89.75)
2. Platinum- $90 p/p (+tax & serv chrg = $115.35)

Basically, the difference between the 2 is that the Platinum includes:
- CH: Seafood bar, Pasta station, & an Ice Sculpture
- RH: 4 entrees as oppossed to 3, Intermezzo, & Vienesse display

*Both packages have the same food choices* So its not like theres better food on the more expensive menu

I felt it was pretty low to begin with so I didnt negotiate... But we have a plan of attack when we go in there again.. LoL We are def going to get something thrown in, min lowered, something!! Fh needs to keep his mouth shut next time

And I am soo dumb... I should have told them who I was referred by, maybe that would have helped... We got along really well with one of their dj's at an expo... He would def rem us.. I think we talked more abut the swan club than his own dj company

The DJ refferal should also help but, I know that Mike said if we had another Sunday our minimum wouldn't be so high but, i have a holiday weekend sunday. So if my minimum is 165 you should have no problem with 150...

Thank you for all the advice!!! I rem we exchanged Fm a while back and you said this too... I should have brought it up, but I will def discuss with them when I go back !

You should go check out Westbury Manor as well. They are literally 5-10 mins from each other...both have grounds/gardens etc... And depending on the day/time/etc..the prices can be comparable. Ask for Felicia ..she is a DOLL. I also got an insane amount of stuff thrown in...and i didnt feel like I was haggeling at all.

I went to a wedding at the Swan Club two-three weeks ago..and they used the Garden Room. The ceremony was in the same room as the CH. Once the ceremony was over they made the guests march around the building while they re-set the room..and then we all went back inside. Nobody knew what was going on...and a lot of the older ppl seemed miffed. Just a thought when booking that room.

You should try Woodbury Country Club
That place is amazing.

It was fun looking at other places and you get ideas of things you may want to add. Look everywhere.
