swan club vs. larkfield manor

Today I saw both swan club and larkfield manor....they were both very reasonably priced. swan club said 105 for the platunum which came with a seafood boat and vienese table and larkfield said 110 which came w/ an entire extra viennese hour.
Im so confused. I like different things about them both. I like the grounds at swan club, but i think that larkfield is very elegant and I really like the extra hour added on.

oh boy!! I loved both of these places!!! For us Larkfield was out b/c it was just a bit far (we're in Queens).......I really don't think you would lose with either hall- both gorgeous!! Larkfield finished some impressive renovations recently, so things are possibly a bit newer.....the extra hour is nice....but just remember that would mean paying overtime to your vendors as well.

Good luck- that's a tough choice!!

i saw both places and actually had my prom at swan club...while i think swan club has more photo ops outside, i was not too impressed with their rooms i felt they were a lil run down looking and they also have three different rooms and the rooms were somewhat too close for my taste...i booked larkfield manor and i also added the vienesse hour and like that there was a whole extra hour, i also like how there are two weddings at a time but the are on opposite sides of the building...i felt that you get so much for your money at larkfield...good luck!!

I booked Larkfield as well. First off, FH and I went when they were closing one night and Harry didn't mind hanging around at all. He left the room and gave us time to talk privately (I hate when vendors sit there looking at you when you want to talk privately). They offer so much for the price. I'm ont he one side of the building where my guests can be both indoors and outdoors for the cocktail hour and reception. They offer guests seconds during dinner, pack 10 dinners for the bride and groom tot ake home, and I also heard they give the left over cocktail hour food to the parents or donate it to a charity. It's good to know I'm really getting what I paid for. Plus they throw a lot of extras in. A lot of brides have mentioned that on the day of they were surprised with a chocolate fountain.

Oh I will. I can't wait to do it. I've actually been writing up reviews for vendors as I use them so I don't forget anything after the wedding. Bride brain is a killer!

The swan club and larkfield manor were our final two for our rh. We loved larkfield manor and loved the smaller room, however it was two small for our needs. The larger room just seemed a bit too long. Also I know I'm a nut but we really wanted round tables. We chose the Swan Club, they had want we needed. We are in the Garden Room and so we have our own private entrance.

No mattter what you pick, you will have a great rh.
Good luck.

Re: swan club vs. larkfield manor

Funny thing is that these two halls were both are final 2 to choose from. My FH and I both like these places but for different reasons. We compared ever aspect of what we would get for our money. We absolutely loved the grounds of Swan Club, the pictures would be beautiful but we were not crazy with the size of the room for the amount of people we would have. At larkfield we LOOOVED the food and compared to Swan Club we felt we were getting so much more food for our money. JMO At Larkfield we LOOOOVED the food and just about everything about it. Also we felt so more comfortable with the BM- Harry then any other place we went to. I know we are in good hands. So we booked larkfield!!!

Good Luck with your choices, either way you will have a beautiful wedding!!!

we saw both, and they both had their perks, but when it came down to it, we booked Larkfield as the staff are amazing (food's great too). At swan club I felt like it was being pressured by a used car sales person. With Larkfield I felt relaxed and comfortable.

Although I found Swan Club to be beautiful, I didn't like how the rooms were so close to each other. I was there during a party and all the guests looked so confused as to who belonged where and where to go....

I agree with this....with the layout of Swan Club. Plus I think the food is sooooo much better at Larkfield then at the Swan Club! I didn't got look at the Swan Club as one of our choices of RHs, but I've been to a couple of parties at Swan Club.....and wasn't that impressed. Although the grounds are amazing!!
But I definitely praise Larkfield with the food, layout, appearance, and pleasant employees!!

I looked at both and choose Swan Club.

I didnt like how Larkfield manor was right on Larkfield rd, and you could see the 7-11.

I wanted somethign more tucked away.

both get great reviews though!

i also liked the smaller room at Larkfield Manor better, but I didnt fit.
