I am! I am hoping and praying that it is not as hot as it was the day of our engagement party. I was melting and the dress I was wearing was half the length and half the material!

Yea I am a little. That is partially why I decided to go with a 2nd dress. My first was one satin but super heavy and I could barely walk in it. My new one is still satin but a much lighter material but I'm still worried.

Me. I guess that's why it's a good thing I'm getting married in January.

Yes, I am to an extent. But since I'm in early April, I think that I will luck out by just stepping outside for a min if need be. Or, I can have my bridal suite set to be cooler then the RH. My dress really isn't that bad, so I'm trying not to think of getting all sweaty. LOL

Yes you will be hot. My wedding was in July and we took pics outside. It wasn't that bad. Drink some cold water if you are outside a while. That helped.
The RH are sooo cold you cool off in a second. I was hot while dancing and cooled off while we were sitting down to eat.

I was sooo concerned about this when I was shopping. My wedding is in July. I have a ball gown, its huge, however its supringly light.
Also, for make up, I wanted airbrushing because its much lighter than the traditional foundation. When I got my make up done for my epics in June, the make up was so thick on my face, that I was literally melting all over the place. Not fun.

I think you should be fine, I got married the middle of May and it was 75 degrees. I had a big and heavy dress on and i was fine. There was also a nice breeze that day and didnt sweat at all, not even when we were taking pics for 2 hours and the sun on me, which i was afraid of, not to mention i had my hair down and had extensions. The first pic location was also very windy since we were by the water so that helped a bit.
When I danced i did get a bit warm, but i would just stop for a little bit or slow it down for a few mins and i was fine. I didnt have any issues with getting too hot or sweating the day of.

yup exactally why i chose to not pick a satin dress i'm going to try to have the least amount of 'stuff' on under my dress too. I hope it will keep the sweating down

I am majorly....!!! That is why I did not end up choosing anything silk or satin...for me those materials cause nightmares.....my gown is fairly big, but it is lace and seems airy. I want to wear a slip though, because I want it to poof out. I am praying for breezy weather....

i am always on the warmer side. when i tried on dresses i was miserable in the heavier fabrics.
i chose a dress that was made of organza....it is super light!

Re: Sweating in the dress? Is anyone worried the
omg i'd be worried haha, when i first when on to try dresses they were so heavy and i was sweating so much underneath in places i didn't even know had sweat glands! but thankfully the dress i ended up buying is much MUCH lighter than most of the ones i've tried on...my hunch is satin is heavier than silk taffeta...
