Sweaty brides

Gross headline I know...

but what are you doing, or did you do, to prevent sweating on your wedding day!

It doesn't matter how thin or not I have been at times in my life, I always sweat.. doesn't matter the temperature outside or inside either... and I don't mean underarms... those are usually not a problem at all.. the problem is other places like my arms, shoulders, back.. even my legs.. I have been for 2 fittings and I have been standing there drenched in sweat from head to toe.

So, ANY recommendations on what works??? I am not above rolling a coat of deodorant on my entire body but even that I don't think works... I hate when I am somewhere wearing a sleeveless shirt or a dress and I have to tell people not to touch me cause I'm probably sweaty.. I would like to not have to do this on my wedding lol

ugh i'm actually slightly worried about this b/c i'm pretty sure it'll be a lot warmer in june. i'm going to have my mom and sisters bring fans so they can fan me. LOL. and i'll also have a hanky JIC my face is sweating and i can dab off the sweat.

ugh i feel your pain!! im always sweating! i was sweating off the makeup as she was applying it for my trial in DECEMBER!!! my back, neck and forehead are always sweaty. im just gonna keep the AC on full blast everywhere i am that day and hope for the best. even though my weddings in october we will have the AC on in my house getting ready. its worth the high electric bill in my opinion.

I have an NP who gets botox shots in her armpit because she sweat so bad. Maybe you can talk to your dermatologist and see if thats an option for your problem areas

So FH uses Mitchum Power Gel and he said its the best thing ever. He never has pit stains. Maybe you could give it a try. I know it comes in unscented.

Wow, you're so lucky!!

I feel like its not so much that I have a sweating problem because my underarms never really sweat... I really think I have some kind of overheating problem... I suffer from heat exhaustion REALLY easily.. sometimes even heat stroke.. As a kid I used to have to be taken out of the sun after a half hour because I would start sweating and talking jibberish haha

i sweat all the time. its disgusting especially since FH doesn't sweat, ever! i think he's weird (although i secretly wish i could be like him) people always make fun and trust me, if i could control my body temperature i would but i can't
i have no idea what i am going to do the day of the wedding. i don't have a problem once i'm inside, but while i am outside i'm worried. even while i was just at my dress fitting i was sweating up a storm.

I sweat when it's snowing out - I am just naturally warm blooded and have been really afraid of this.

Ive started to get sweaty during dress fittings too.

My mom works for a derm and gets me these pads you rub under your arms the night before to help the sweating a little bit.

But my sweating comes from my face - its horrible! So i am getting airbrush makeup to help with that a little bit and I have a hanky i am carying to hopefully help dry some sweaty areas lol.

I think the fan is a really cute idea actually - could make for some fun pictures too.

Unfortunately, i dont think there is much you can do

Make sure the place you're getting ready is COLD! AC on full blast, so that when you're getting ready, you don't break into a sweat. Then just make sure to keep calm. Don't get stressed. Walk around calmly. Carry a glass of cold icey water while you're doing things and take sips. I always make sure I am really peaceful when I'm getting ready to go out and already in my outfit.
