Can you please post some pics of your sweetheart table if you had one?
FH and I are debating if we want to sit with others or have a sweetheart table. If we decide on a sweetheart table we have to figure out how to decorate it. We're having tall centerpieces so that obviously wouldn't work, but I'm scared my BK just won't be enough. Any thoughts?
TIA!! xo

Re: sweetheart table
I would DEF. have a sweetheart table - no question about it. Honestly, its nice just to go sit with your hubby and look around the room and know everyone is there for you both!!!! Its romantic and its not like your sitting there all night.... We sat down for like 5 minutes lol!!!
We decorated it by having our florist put like a centerpiece in the front (a low one so that you can see our faces- if you ask your florist, they should exactly what to put on that table), along with those little candles, and rose petals.

I don't think you need a centerpiece - here's ours.

Re: sweetheart table
Usually your RH will put all the BM's bouquets around it. They put my bouquet on the cake table though. I don't know if you can tell but we had gothic candelabras at the church and then they brought them to the RH and put them behind the sweetheart table.
I loved having a Sweet Heart Table. Our Bridal Party got to sit with their dates/spouses. We were next to them, across from our parents, and felt like we were center. Plus it gave us some much needed time alone now and then, without being away from the party.
I wish we could have had a Sweetheart table at the Rehearsal Dinner too because it was open seating and who to sit with turned out to be a pain to figure out.

Re: sweetheart table
We had bouquets around the cake instead of our table. But we chose sweetheart table b/c we wanted our bridal party to not feel separated from their spouses/SO's. Plus we loved having the table just the two of us...much more romantic! We had an arrangement for the sweetheart table (although our florist messed it up - we gave them a picture of exactly what we wanted - only coral orange & white flowers, but they made us a duplicate of the other arrangements we had...not that it wasn't beautiful, just not what I asked & paid for)

Our florist recommended putting all of the bm bok's around the front of the table with my bok in the middle to decorate the table, so that's what we're gonna do.

Re: sweetheart table
We're doing a sweetheart table. When I picture the wedding day I picture sitting there with just FH and cherishing the few minutes together.
We are putting our unity candle on our table and lighting it at the beginning of the reception instead of during the ceremony (which will be outside) and letting it stay lit all night. Our centerpieces are two glass cubes with floating roses and a glass martini glass in the middle - our table will have the unity candle instead of hte martini glass.

Re: sweetheart table
We put the bouquets on the table and our unity candle and didn't really feel it needed anything else.
The Milleridge Cottage also has this gorgeous fireplace and mantel / mirror behind the sweetheart table, though, so that really made the whole picture lovely without our having to add more than a few votives up top.

Re: sweetheart table
Def have one... and if you're having a theme... its easy to add that to your table but make it slightly diff from all the other tables.... Like I still had a CP for my table like every other table, but no one had the birdhouse we had... Thank god for a coordinator though- she added all of her own personal touches to the table that blew us away! I threw some extra stuff in a box and told her to do whatever she wanted with it... and we had lanterns surrounding our flowers on the table that made it look incredible!
ETA: That's Laura our DOC from LA Productions in the back with her asst- talking about how awesome the decorating turned out to be
PS: you can see our monstrosity of a treasure chest card box in the background lol
