who is going to TTC right away? FH and i are discussing it - we are kind of torn right now (finances, etc.). if you don't mind sharing, what are your 'plans'?

We'll be 32 and 33 so we don't want to wait too long - we bought our house a little over a year ago - but we still want to wait about 1 year, just to be married, just us.
Some days I want a baby now and other days I'm willing to wait a little bit :)

same here, no babies until after 2-3 years, I want kids but they can wait, I want to enjoy FH and my marriage, I cant even think of having kids right now

FH & I are planning on trying right away!! We actually were trying for the last six months, before we decided on getting married. So we'll start trying again right after the wedding. We're both in our late 30's though so that's our reason for rushing things a bit :)

Its so hard to resist baby fever right now.
A few friends just had babies and another is due in November.
We are not living in NY right now, and dont plan to move back until fall of 2008. So we will be married for a year when we come back.
I think we will probably start trying then. I am definitely not ready right now - pregnancy scares me a little bit. Not because of weight gain, but because of being conscious of the fact that there is a person growing inside me. I would be afraid to bend over! Also - I sleep on my stomach and dont know how I will cope with having to sleep on my back or side.
Plus - have you seen knocked up? Whoa graphic visual!
My girlfriends and I have discussed and we are going to try to be preggers together - obviously we realize that this will be difficult to coordinate but we are going to try!

We are waiting at least 5 years. I want to enjoy married life. And being that this is the first time I am living away from my parents and have to take care of my own house, I need to adjust to that first.

thank you girls for all your input! FH and i have lived together almost 3 years now - we are getting a new apartment, we both have good jobs, and i don't feel like i would be missing out on anything if we started trying right away... but the whole pregnancy/mommy thing seriously freaks me out!

We both would like to start rt away but I'm still torn on whether to go back to grad school and all...so we're not sure.

FH and I have discussed this on numerous occasions and the conclusion we've come up with at this point is that were both too selfish to have children right now because we still want to travel and just enjoy each other for a little bit. So we think we'll probably start trying about 2 years after the wedding. FH will be around 30 and i'll still only be around 26 two years after the wedding so we have time I think...
