What's up my favorite LIWers! So I'm going thru a very very major career change, and I'm starting to get a little freaked out. I don't want to get into what I'll be doing...not at least until I pass the necessary exams. But basically, I was offered a job in a totally different field than I am in, and I am going to take it, but I don't know if I will be good at it.
The core item of the new job is sales....comission sales to be exact. This is something that I just never considered..but the guy offering me the job is convinced that I'd be good at it. (He has lots of faith in me, that I just don't see!) LOL If I am good at this job...the financial opportunities are endless...and I wouldn't have to do the typical 9-5...I can make up my own hours. I have an opportunity makes lots of $$ soon, and that would help us so much for the wedding, as well as after we are married!
On Friday I have to take the company's final exam...and if I pass, then I will be allowed to take the NYS licensing exams. I have been studying, but it's been years since I had to take a test, and I just dont' want to fail!!
Therefore, I am posting a blatant, shameless request for hugs, prayers, and encouragements...cause this is a pivotal life altering moment for me....AS IF i didn't have enough to freak out about planning a wedding!!!!!

You don't need any luck but here are some . I can only imagine how magnanamous you must be in real life. Your posts are always so funny and I feel like you are just a warm, outgoing person. I think that whatever it is your selling you will be able to sell it no problem . The reason I say that is bc even though you have the opportunity to make a lot of $$, and you will, is not only bc of your personality but I think that you will be genuine and not looking to just make the $$ and rip people off or sell them something that you know was defective or they couldn't afford.
I will pray for you but you will pass and you will pass the NYS boards and you will like your new job and all the rewards you will reap!

You will be GREAT! You have a tremendous personality and that is half the battle in sales! But a little GOOD LUCK never hurt!

You are outgoing, have a good personality and are very confident-- you are also easy to talk to and people tend to feel (i know i did) really comfortable around you... you are a natural!!
