SWR: Cute places on LI to go for brunch/lunch?
Instead of buying my 3 sisters (my BP) jewlery or something chotchky for their BP gift, I thought I would treat them all to brunch or a nice lunch somewhere once the wedding is over.We NEVER get the chance to all hang out together, so I thought this would be a sweet way to thank them.
Thing is, I have no clue where to go on Long Island. I have to admit, I know Manhattan and Brooklyn better for brunch places. Doesn't it seem like no places out on LI have decent brunch?
Any suggestions??

In the spring/summer, go to the Sunset Grill at the Crescent Beach Club. You'll feel like you're on a cruise! They do Sunday brunches (I've never been to their brunch). It's SUCH a beautiful place!

Milk and Sugar is a definite favorite of mine. I love Robinson's Tea Room in Stony Brook as well. The food is great and they do a full service British tea which is awesome!

Buffet or sit down? I prefer a regular sit down brunch; we love Bistro Cassis in Huntington. Very French and they make great mimosas!

Ditto!
Or try the Sunday brunch at the Polo Restaurant at the Garden City Hotel. It's excellent! They offer a bunch of different items that you typically wouldn't expect at brunch like seafood, pasta & meat carving stations in addition to the traditional brunch fare. It's $60 per person and includes unlimited bloody mary's, mimosa's, coffee and tea. And they spoil the hell out of you with their service. It's a indulgence that's definitely worth the cost.
