SWR- does anyone know..

if you need a passport to go to montreal?

Fh is suppose to go there for a bachelor party for a friend, and no one had the answer lol

Yes. We wanted to go for the World Baseball Classic or whatever its called and you need it now.

so if FH files to get one like say 2morrow..do u think he could have it by april 10th?

it depends on when he's going (if it's before 6/1/09) and if he's flying or driving. If he's flying no matter when he's going, YES.

If he's driving before 6/1/09 - an original birth certificate and a driver's license should be ok. After 6/1/09 - he'll need a passport.

There's a thing on the dept. of state's website that tells you if you need one or not

If he's going 4/10 and driving or taking the train, then NO. If he's going 4/10 and flying, then YES.

My dad works for the State Dept up on the Michigan/Canadian border and I'm on the phone with him now so this is straight from the expert.
