I need to make an appointment to get my hair colored and cut. Is two weeks before the wedding a good time for this? Also, I usually go to Cacutis in Mayfair (Commack) but I was wondering if anyone knows anything about Meridan in Commack. I have no loyalites as I don't get my hair cut or colored very often. I am also open to any other suggestions if you know if someone fabulous in the Commack area.

Two weeks is a good time, I was planning to do my hair a few days before because my hair grows REALLY fast and I don't want even the slightest root showing... XOXOXO Kitty

I dont' know fab in Commack but totally fabulous in Deer Park at Soto. I go to Jamie for color and Michelle for cut. They are awesome. I always get compliments on my hair. But they can have a long wait to get an appointment, just FYI.

hmmm... close to commack...
st. james (used to be melito) but then the owner steven changed the name when he renovated. so now it's sivanah salon.... same owner, steven is the one who cuts and he colored my sisters hair (i've seen him do others too)... he is unbelievable. time after time he gives me the best haircuts i have ever had and i don't have to go that often to get it done because they are so good they last longer on me...

I go to Christopher Street in Dix Hills (near Commack) and I love them... I go for a haircut. My mother goes and has her hair colored and cut. She loves it there too

My aunt goes to Judith James (across the street from Huntington Townhouse on Jericho Turnpike)..not too far from Commack! She raves about the place!

I just got my hair colored at Meridian and I had a bad experience. I specifically told the colorist that she was the first person I'd been to since I moved to the area. The girl who did my hair before her has been coloring my hair for the past 8 years...anyway, she highlighted my hair, sent me to get washed, and never once checked to see if my color came out right, or even if I liked it!! Even AFTER I got a haircut with another stylist, she never came by to check my hair...I thought that was very unprofessional. I'm not going back there....plus the highlight was over $100!!!
