SWR: Need opinions Braces
I have one tooth that is kind of behind another tooth on one side. Ever since my wisdom teeth have been coming in its been pushing my teeth and this caused the tooth to move further back as well. Other than that my bite is fine.
I went to see FH's ortho who is AMAZING!!!
She recommended I get something called interactive mystique (see pic below)
its more comfortable than metal braces, and for what I need its more convenient than invisalign. She said by the time the wedding comes the tooth will definitely be pretty much back in place(of course i still need to continue to wear them to get my teeth perfectly straight) but she said she can remove them before the wedding and put them back on after at no additional charge.
Heres the thing I do have dental, unfortunately this ortho is not in the network for it. this for just top teeth will cost 4K, but FH was there for appt. today and she said she can knock off a couple of hundred off of that.
so i can either find another ortho in network (its just a DMO plan), i'd still have to pay a 2K copay, and then because the dental co. doesnt pay everything right away I'd have to pay out of pocket regardless and wait for a refund after(this happened when i needed minor oral surgery last year) plus i'd have to wait for approval etc. so who knows when i'd actually even get the braces on when thats all said and done.
Or I can pay out of pocket to this orthodontist at least knowing how great that office is, and have this started on a lot quickier.
What would you do?
