the dog is very cute, but please don't buy from a breeder online...
find a reputable breeder or look on petfinder to adopt one.

ETA: is your FH ok if he takes claritin? My DH is allergic to cats but is ok if he takes the medicine and also there is a good chance the longer he is around the dog, that he will get used to it and the allergies will subside.

The website was just to show what kind of dog it is, I wouldn't buy from a breeder online. He's ok if he takes claritin but he said he doesn't want to live on claritin. I have told him that his allergies should subside and he will get used to the dog, he didn't buy it. The weird thing is he loves dogs and really wants one but he's convinced there is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog.

That's what I was told too! I so feel your pain kristen To make it even worse FH promised me a puppy when I graduate (which is this May) and he TOOK IT BACK! I don't care what he says, in May I am coming home with my graduation present whether it is from him or not.

im allergic too.. but my sister bought a shih-tzu and i dont have any problems.. he doesnt shed.

My sister and I are allergic to cats and dogs that shed. We researched and got a Shih Tzu. We have no problems and they are the best doggies in the world!! I'm biased since we have 4

My dad was the same way so we never had a dog growing up…as soon as I moved out with FH, I got myself a corgi and then due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to move home with the dog. Eventually, my sis got a dog too. Now my extremely allergic dad has two dogs in the house! He’s absolutely fine…I honestly think he was more emotionally allergic than anything. I don’t know if that’ll help convince FH or not though

I bought my dog from Shake a Paw in Lynbrook NY and they have that puppy you wanted. I saw it there there awhile back. My FH and i would usually go there and pet puppies when we're around the area.

So go check them out first...

I don't know .. he doesn't seem to mind it.. wait he does hate stuff on his head.. that's about it.. I don't dress him up often.. i just do it for fun and pic and its off right away.

my fh is allergic to dogs. i have been wanting a dog for a while. well last month i finally got one. so far fh has not been allergic to him. it is a dachshund.
his parents have a 'hypoallergenic dog' a cocker-spaniel poodle and he is extremely allergic to him.
