SWR: The Place furniture in Farmingdale

I just wanted to warn you ladies against The Place on Route 110.... FH and I went there yesterday and fell in love with a bedroom set... it was 5:45 and we didn't want to be pressured into a decision in 15 minutes before closing so we decided to come back tonight.... we go there tonight and were treated like total dirt.... I am still fuming at the way the manager and salesman treated me and FH.... he actually yelled at me! They had changed the sign on the furniture from a 'in house sale' to a 'floor sample sale' which was more $$ and I questioned it and the manager went crazy on me. I just thought I'd put this out there for any girls going furniture shopping not to waste your time....HTH...

we had a great exp. with them. most furniture stored have bad reviews.

We had a great experience with the one in Carle Place. We got a really great deal and the sofas look great. I wonder if they have different management.

we had an awesome experience w/ The Place, but now we are having trouble with another furniture store on 110-guess it is hit or miss :)

We didn't have a good experience with them either - that location or the one in Carle place- all the sales people totally ignored us. In one case we walked in the door and an older couple walked in behind us - the sales person at the door didn't say one word to us - not even a hello- but was all friendly and asking the older people if they needed any help!! Like we just walked into the furniture store for the hell of it?
Whatever - we went to Raymour and Flanigan and they were so much better- I'd totally recommend them.

I agree. We've used the one on Rt 110 about five times already,a nd every time was great. Maybe it's b/c we've never gotten anything form the actual store. It was always made overseas,a nd shipped to us.

But sorry you had a bad experience w/ them

Us, too. Great experiene. My bedroom set is from there and they had to hike it up an odd set of stairs.
