SWR: What do you d when you wear jewelry that is a different 'color' then your engaement / Wedding rings??
I am going to a wedding this Saturday and I am wearing a green dress with Gold earings & gold bangles. Now , I was thinking won’t this look kinda funny with my engagement & wedding ring ( they are both platinum)???
What does everyone else do when they were jewelrey that is a different “color” as their rings??

I used to think it was soooo taboo and I think most people did, too to wear mixed colored metals....but I'm over it now...I've had a yellow gold ring and had someone give me a white gold necklace and now i have platinum and i've worn yellow with it. for the most part, I've tried to just have white gold or silver pieces now to avoid it...but i think as long as you do it right, most people won't notice or care anymore.

Does it really matter?thats your wedding and engagement ring - who cares if they are different than the rest of the jewelery?

don't worry about it...I have yellow/white gold earrings in, I have platinum engagement ring, and a yellow gold and white gold watch on...I'm beyond the point of caring...lol

Funny you ask this since I was putting on my gold jewelry the other day and it looked all wrong (also platinum e-ring and wedding ring)....but as everyone said, just wear it anyway. I did end up toning down the look and wearing less gold....funny thing is I used to wear all kinds of jewelry (hence my e-ring is platinum with two gold x's on the side of the baguettes) but now less so.

I agree. But I just try to stay away from too much gold, or like Cheryl said tone it down were it's not noticeable. But to each it's own
