SWR: Wisdom teeth
Have you had your wisdom teeth pulled? My sister had to have hers taken out like a week before her wedding so I am a little paranoid the same thing will happen to me!

YUP..ALL 4 AT THE SAME TIME. TALK TO SHORTYMCBRIDE SHE JUST HAD HERS DONE LAST WEEK.
Do you have toothaches? I remember I had aches over the summer before my senior year in high school, and I didn't have them taken out until May of my senior year. Usually if you don't have pain you can wait.
I also had all 4 done at the same time. It was a miserable experience but I lost a LOT of weight! I would not have them pulled any time near your wedding though (if you need to get them pulled at all) there is a lot of swelling and brusing that happens.
Yeah, but it all depends on your experience. I had all four out and was eating solid foods the next day. Have you seen an oral surgeon yet? He or she will be able to tell you if you need to have them out or if you can wait.
Do they bother you?
It's really all just paranoia. I don't have any tooth pain or anything. It's just I'm 29 and I keep waiting to have a problem with them so I figure with my luck it will be right before the wedding!
I had all 4 out, went completely under- the scariest part that I remember was thinking I couldnt breathe, next thing i knew i woke up, it was all done...my throat was soar...took all my meds..slept for two days..FELT very little pain and ate easter dinner 3 days later. It was not so bad for me... I used someone in Hauppauge
I had mine out last year in two sesions because honestly i was afraid to do all 4 at once. the first 2 i had extracted were painful. i got what's called dry socket afterwards and basically for one week i had to go to the doc and have my gums packed in with gauze to lessen the pain. the second session i went to another doc because i didn't wanna have a repeat of what happened to me the first time and i swear the next day i was fine...no dry sockets, no pain nothing. so it really depends on your situation...every case is different. but don't worry if they haven't bothered u up to now i'm sure you'll be fine
Fortunately, no. I have four teeth missing already b/c of impacted teeth when I was younger, so when they do fully grow out, I won't have to get them removed.
Mine are/were impacted - I had 2 out have to do back for the rest - as long as you can just have them pulled its not bad but I wouldn't wait
I had three out at the same time. I didnt have a 4th. I didnt feel any pain before the surgery, but they were impacted so the doctor wanted to take them out. I was in great pain the following day, then just discomfort from the swelling and bruising. I was better in alitte over a week.
I have only had the top two out at different times b/c in both cases I got a really bad sore throat , my whole mouth was swollen. I went to my regular dentist to see if he could see what was going on, and he determined that the top one was biting down at the bottom of my mouth causing the bottom gum to swell up, so he took out the top one no problem, and all my pain went away. I haven't had a problem with my bottoms one yet, my regular dentist said he can't take those out I have to go to a oral surgeon for that b/c my mouth is too small and they are more complicated. I'm very nervous about the day I have to get them out.
My bottom wisdom teeth were impacted, and needed to be taken out. It took me between 5-7 days before I was back to normal. I had my top wisdom teeth pulled a few years later. I had absolutely no problems with the teeth pulling and was back to normal almost immediately. It was an extremely quick procedure and I wasn't in pain afterwards. As long as they're being pulled and aren't impacted, everything should be ok.
