SWR: Work Vent

Why does my principal think if I am stressed or overwhelmed at work that it immediately has to do with my wedding or my house????

Any time I say to her that I am having a hard time or I'm worried about a student, she immediately thinks my personal life is the reason. It absolutely drives me nuts and totally pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Maybe next time you could say something like 'No actually everything's going great with that stuff Im just really concerned about so-and-so'

I have said this several times. I don't even take care of wedding related things at work. I try to separate the two so I can focus.

Everyone at work thinks the same thing about me as well. The first thing they always ask me is, 'How's the wedding planning?' It's almost as if they are expecting me to break down into tears. I think it has to do with the school environment too. At least it's not my principal asking. It's usually just fellow teachers.

What also makes me mad, is that everyone thinks that the wedding is the only thing in my life. Not regular questions like how were your holidays or what did you do this weekend, it's always wedding, wedding ,wedding! Yes, I'm thrilled to be getting married and I can't wait but it is not the only thing going on!

I feel the same way. The only people who ask me about my life outside of the wedding are people in my own department. Specifically the 'lunch crew' because we hang out together everyday. Anyone else that just sees me in the halls 'Hey! How's the wedding planning going?' It's like I have Bride Tattooed on my face.

I kind of get the same thing......everytime I say I am tired or frustrated all my coworkers say its b/c all of the things on my mind. I love palnningthis wedding, but its all anyone can talk to me about....
