SWR: yet another mother vent- REALLY LONG
okay so my mother is psychotic - seriously
she has been complaining for about 48 years that she wants to do the house over - so now we are doing a lot of stuff, tiles, concrete etc. and now she is complaining NON STOP about the work, how inconvenient it is, how messy it is
AND when people ask her about it she says 'OH WE HAVE TO DO IT BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER IS GETTING MARRIED AND SHE DOESNT WANT THE OLD STUFF'
umm yeah i doubt my photographer is going to get any great shots of the kitchen tiles! and i am getting married in january - so all of the 5 pics i take outside will have nice concrete in it. . wow thanks mom
and THEN she has to mention at least once a month that my brother and sister are not in the bridal party. they are almost 40, have kids and are in major life changes right now ( my sister is just about to move and my brother just had his first baby and is looking to move) i talked to them about it and they are 100% fine that they are not in it. . . all my sister said was that she wanted to be 100% involved with dress shopping and bach party - which OF COURSE she will be. . .
but my mom seriously thinks that i am the first person to ever not have their siblings in the BP - like EVER - like i invented it. . .
I AM HAVING TWO GIRLS - and TWO GUYS and the rest are kids. . .it is not like i am having 15 people in it and then i left them out. . . and if i DO have them in it it opens up a whole can of worms bc then i have to put my other cousins in it bc they will be the only people not in it. . . whole big thing
and then she complains about the color - she hates blue its too dark blah blah blah
and then when i ask her if she is inviting someone she says - well i would if you werent having it so far i dont know how you expect them to get there.. . . i am in howard beach and JT is in mineola!!
i am paying for the entire wedding with FH - my parents are helping where they can . . .but still even if they were paying for the whole thing - why should she get to pick at every little thing
OH YEAH this is the best part. . .we are supposed to go to italy in October but now she is saying we cant go unless teh house is done - and she thinks I AM CRAZY bc i would leave the house unfinished. . . ummm hello? you lock up the house and no one will be in it for two weeks so what does it matter if the cabinets arent finished? i dont get it at all!!!!!!!! you think i am bad for not having my siblings in the BP? you havent seen your siblings in 10 years and you arent going to go bc you cant leave an empty house with unfinished tiles??
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS WOMAN!!!!!!
