Syosset Hotel

Does anyone know anything about the Syosset Fairfield Marriot? I was going to have my out of town guests stay there... I heard no room guarantee and everyone gets discounted rate...

Most hotels don't make you guarantee any # of rooms, and also give a discounted rate to your guests. Doesn't sound like anything out of the ordinary to me.

I had called there to get information and they were nasty to me over the phone when I asked about setting up a block. I decided to go elsewhere, ended up using the Huntington Hilton.

fox hollow inn wants you to guarantee 7 rooms and if not you pay for the 7 rooms anyway.

and executive inn best western wants 7 guaranteed also, and if you don't hit minimum, then the guests that are staying there don't get discount...

but the one in syosset said even if one guest staying you can get discount....

try these hotels for other options of places without a room guarantee:

huntington hilton
melville marriott
sheraton four points plainview

try four points by sheraton in plainview

they were very nice. no minimum. discounted rate. optional shuttle service.

do they charge for shuttle? to where, airport or place of reception? thanks....

we're using 4 points too. We're paying $450 for shuttle service but it could be more, they charge you based on availability. They've been really great to work wtih and even if they charge you more for the shuttles it's much less than any other limo/shuttle vendor would charge you. Trust me, I've looked into it! The shuttle service is only for the day of the wedding to get your guests to the venue and back. Your guests have to find their own airport transportation
