this is so funny, cause I wanted cameras at the table.. well last sat we went to a wedding where the couple had put one camera on every table for guests to take pics for them.. well let me tell you, one girl from our table and i saw another girl at another table.. literally just took the cameras and put it in their purse!!! like didnt take any pics but instead took the camera home!!! I would be soooooooooooooo PO!!!!!!!!!

I am afraid people will take 'questionable' photos. One of my friends like to take pics of his arse. Maybe I wouldn't put one on his table.

i thought about this but then decided not to. this was cool back then, but ppl now have digital cameras so why bother....just my opinion

Everyone that I know that's done them said they're a huge waste of money. Half of them don't get used and the other half of the pictures are of ridiculous things like someone's foot....lol. For the amount of decent pictures you get after all the money you spent, it's not worth it. You're better off setting up a shared account on Shutterfly or something and ask all of your guests to upload their pics to it!

i think its a waste! most ppl forget to press the flash and then the pictures are ruined. your better off making one of those card things...add your pictures here!

I am going to say NAY, because from what I have heard not many people actually use them, and it can be a waste of money.
Plus I used them back in the days of yore in HS, SPECIFICALLY for my senior year Mardi Gras which was held in, drumroll please, the Pavillion Room at Villa Lombardi's, and I enlisted my friend to take pics of my number to Cabaret, and NONE of them came out So I know firsthand for a fact that the lighting in my room and disposable cameras just do not mesh,
I'm putting the photo upload cards instead at each seat, so if they take pics on their own cameras, they can just upload them directly to us.

I say nay because I feel like it gives people the freedom to take dumb random pics that they would never think of taking if they had to pay to get the film developed. Then you have to worry about collecting them all and then paying all of that to develop them...I say NAY

Don't do it! there was a thread not too long ago with this debate.
Spoke to my friend who was married in '05 and she said:
1) she STILL has cameras to develop 2) they are expensive to develop 3) the quality is poor 4) some people take them instead of handing them in!
Most people set up a websites or accounts for their guests to upload pictures too. Personally I am creating a special email account and will put a note in the program asking guest to share their pics via email. I will then upload them to our wedding webpage/ the site our photographer is making for us.

ita!!! I was considering doing this for our younger guest but did not even bother. I doubt anyone will get the pictures develope

My friend did them at her wedding a couple of years ago and specifically told me not to waste my money on them. She said the pictures don't come out all that good and she got a large number of pictures from her husband's friends' private parts!

I am going to disagree with the majority and say get them.
When we were planning the wedding, my MIL was all about the table cameras. I thought they were a complete waste and told her so, but lo and behold come the day of my wedding, there were the table cameras, courtesy of MIL. We got sooooo many awesome pics from them!!! I have at least 1 shot of every single guest at my wedding. I'd say definitely do them for at least half the tables, and make sure you assign someone the task of collecting them at the end of the night.

instead make a shutterfly page.. then put a card on the plate explaining to people to upload the pictures..

my mom did this for my sister's sweet 16 and we ended up paying a ton of money to develop stupid pictures. people gave them to their kids to play with, others took dumb shots...you can't control who gets a hold of them. for the most part, it was a waste.

IMO its just not worth it....i mean ppl who want to take pics will bring their digital cameras, and the ones who dont bring their cameras, probably dont want to take pics
