This may be a silly question but...do you need to provide table cameras?

Re: table cameras?
I don't think you do. We are going to put a card at every table with a web address and account name to Snapfish so that people can load up and share their own digital shots that they take throughout the night. IMO, the camera tables never get fully used, and as one bride pointed out the other day, she got hers back and a few of the camera were full of pictures of the kids making funny faces or taking pictures of the others taking pictures of them. I personally don't think it's worth the money.

Re: table cameras?
My SIL did them at her wedding this past summer and some didnt get used and the ones that did, the pics didnt come out good at all...not even worth developing. They were dark, etc. Also, she ordered them from a website (i dont remember which one) and a lot of them the wheel got stuck and the guests couldnt even use them.
I want to do them, but i think i'll spring for the Kodak ones.

If I do, I am going to get the Kodak ones. I saw a great thread as an alternative to the cameras...a disc that gets sent back to you and FH...i will try to find...

you dont have to do it, its up to you...I did it for my e-party...most of the cameras were actually all used up and there were a few that had half the pictures taken or just a few...But i did get great pics from the cameras i was surprised since i also heard alot of bad things beforehand...I am sending thank you cards out this week and along with the thank you cards i will put the picture or pictures of the person i am sending it to...Alot of the couples took pics together with the table cameras so i am going to send those pics along with the card

Not necessary but there might be a lot of shots that your photographer won't get that your guests will.

Re: table cameras?
I didnt do them... what I wish I would have done is had a few scattered, not necessarily on ALL of the tables- maybe the head tables/friend tables- I would have liked to have random shots that guests get, but a photographer wouldnt...
My friend did it for her wedding and she said that it wasn't worth it because many were dark-not used up- etc...and it cost her about 200.00 just on developing...
So, either way, you will be fine, but I would NOT suggest getting the wedding ones, I heard they arent great at all-go for kodak

Re: table cameras?
I don't think they are worth the money. I have been to too many weddings where the bride would end up with rolls of unusable film or worse yet, pics of people she doesn't even know! One poor friend (this was prretty gross but funny too) had a roll developed and much to her surpise got a anasty call from her local pharmacy where she was developing them. Asked her to come down immediately. So she goes down and the manager pulls her to the side and proceded to b*tch her out about 'how innapropriate photographs have to be developed on her own time.' (apparently she did it at those 1 hr places to save ehrself hassle and the machine prints them out pretty much in view of whoever is back there)
So anyway she is confused until she gets her film. When she looked at it she realized it was a whole roll of some obscure drunk cousin and his equally drunk trashy g/f who took a whole role of them basically making out. Some of the photos were dark and AHEM, so we wonder exactly where they were since no one saw them acting this way...
-grins- thats a worse case scenario but I think I'll skip the cameras!
If you want random shots, ask a few friends who you know won't take shots of their feet to be 'on the lookout' for good random shots. thats what we plan to do.

Re: table cameras?
My friend had table cameras and most of them came out dark and a lot werent used. I am going to be giving out my email on a post card for people with digital cameras to send me their pics. I figured many people have digital now and this was probably easier!
