Table Cameras

Did any of you have/having the table cameras or did you find/think that is is just a waste.....Just wondering if we should spend the money??

Also if you did where did you find they were the cheapest???
TIA

Re: Table Cameras

I thought about it, but decided it might be a waste of money. I just figured most people bring their own camera's so I may ask people to e-mail me the pics.

I did see someone on here say they printed up business cards and asked people to either e-mail or post their pictures for the bride and groom. They were left on the table for the guests. If I find it I'll post it back up.

i didn't get them but if you do, make sure they're not typical wedding cameras - those come out blurry. Make sure you get the Kodak cameras - the ones with a flash

Sorry to crash - but i read on a thread when I first signed up an idea that i LOVE...

We're not going to do table cameras.. We're going to supply every other placesetting with a blank CD and a poem asking people to mail us their images on the cd....

It's in my notebook - i'll grab the pic & post it.

we arent doing table cameras either, we feel like they are a waste, and just developing all those films are expensive also. im sure there will be plenty of people that are going to send me their pics.

Re: Table Cameras

Just this past weekend we were debating whether to get them or not and decided against them just because ppl. will take silly pictures and also everyone will be taking the same exact pics (cake cutting, first dance, etc.)....the cost of developing them will be a lot too. Figured that's why we're paying our photographer.

I did see some on sale on theknot.com

We did table cameras and I am so happy we did!! While we were on our Honeymoon my mom printed them all up for us. It was nice to come home to look at them. Also...its a great opportunity to get to see what you missed and see it through the eyes of someone else.

We used Kodak cameras bought at BJs and had a little scavanger hunt (a different one for every table.

i've had so many friends do it and admit it was a total waste of money. i mean you MIGHT get a few good pics....but for the most part they said it was just a waste...etiher ppl didnt use them, or they used them for inappropriate things...or kids used them and the pics were terrible

We bought some. We are only doing 1 per table though. I figured it would be awesome if they could capture even if only a few, some spontaneous pics. I love caught off gaurd pics. I paid 3.65 each for mine.

Re: Table Cameras

I am doing it, but with Kodak cameras I bought in a 3 pack at BJs for $9.99. I work in a photo lab part time, so I'll develop the pics myself.
I did develop 2 bunches of wedding cameras last week and I was plesantly surprised (as were the couples) that the pics came out so well. There were a lot of really nice pics of couples and other people at all of the tables, things your photog might miss. There of course were the usual ones where people take pics of other people taking pics...but there are some in every bunch!
