Table Cameras

Table Cameras

For those of you doing table cameras, are you using regular name brand cameras (Kodak, Fuji, ect.) or did you use those decorated wedding ones?
I want good quality pictures but I don't want the regular everyday cameras to stand out on the tables. Any suggestions?

Also, is everyone putting a sign with the camera, letting the guests know to take pictures and LEAVE the camera there? I have heard stories of guests taking the cameras home with them at the end of the reception! Thanks!

I used the regular yellow Kodak ones. I took them out of the box and but them in a pretty wine colored bag and ties it with ivory ribbon and a note explaining what to do like leaving the camera (I also had the scavenger hunt). PS wine and ivory were my two main colors.

I bought refurbished cameras off ebay. I am so sorry I did.The cameras were in bad shape and we didn't realize until after the wedding when people told us their flash didn't work. When we tried to get them developed, some were so badly damaged under the beautiful wedding cover they put over to cover it that they couldn't be developed.
The pictures that did come out came out very dark.I wrote to complain on ebay and they responded with harsh words about me that I am a liar.Only buy new!

I got Kodak 'wedding' disposable cameras. Keep a lookout at BJ's wholesale club...I got mine there on sale for $20/package of four. Each package came with a wedding 'kit' containing a little instruction cards to place on your tables.

I used Kodak ones and put them in a little organza silver bag I bought a Michaels. Then I attached a little card with a little saying and directions. Worked great and my table pics were amazing! Don't skimp on the $3 wedding cameras. The investement of a couple dollars more is 100% worth it. You don't want to be disappointed or have broken cameras. Plus, those table pics are some of the first pics you get back and you will look forward to getting them!

Re: Table Cameras

This is what I wrote on my made up tent cards. I bought them from ebay.

I am your camera for the evening it's for your use, we say.
To help us capture memories on this, very special day.
Maybe you'll see something we didn't see that we
can keep as a memory! Snap away as best your able.
Then leave the camera on your table.

For great pictures, please press and hold the flash button on the front of the camera until flash ready light comes on. Thanks!

I got the regular Kodak in Costo, and it saved me a lot of money. I will put them in nice organza bags with a note of how to use them.

A good way to keep track of each camera is to write the table # on the bottom of the camera. That way, if you are missing one, just look up who sat at that table and have them send it back to you.

I got half black and white cameras and half color, and it worked out really good. I had this on the table, a tent with directions in poem form. The cameras I got (color) were 'jazz' brand, which I had never heard of but they were 3/10$ at Staples. The pics came out great.

Re: Table Cameras

I definitely planned on buying Kodak or Fuji disposables anyway, but I went to a wedding recently where they used the cheap cameras & the pics came out really bad I've heard. I say spend the couple extra bucks & get a camera that you know will work.

JPSGIRL - Your picture is kind of fuzzy. What does that invitation say? Would you mine sharing it with us?

Re: Table Cameras

my cousin used the regular kodak cameras (yellow ones) and they really didn't 'stand' out on the table---i didn't think it looked funny or anything.....of course i think the wedding decorated ones would look better -but if you used the yellow ones i think it would be ok too!---i like the idea of putting them in organza bags too!
