Table Card Question

Are you ladies hand writing them on your own or getting someone else to do it?

I started to write the names and it looks okay (I'll scan one in later when I get home) but I think I can do better getting them done another way- just not sure how.

It's too late for me to take them to a calligrapher to do them for me as Russo's wants them in like a week from now.

I think handwriting them is okay if you want to do that. I am going to print mine on computer. If yours aren't computer friendly could you print the name/number info on labels, print and attach them to the cards??? Just a thought.

i hand wrote them for the wedding, and i hand wrote them for our son's christening.

This is one of those things that while it will look nicer done by a calligrapher, you have to think... how long will anyone really look at hte place card. It'll be on the table, someone will scan to find their name... see what tablel they are at... then stuff it in their pocket. I wouldnt stress.

I started to do them by hand- FH said pretty much that I was overthinking on that and I had a nice looking silver gel pen that I am using- looks nice with the ivory and gold on the Russo's place cards.

I wish I was home so I can scan one - I have a decent handwriting so I am not too worried but like you said who really looks at the cards other than to find their name and table.

I'm very computer friendly but don't have much time to get it done.

Mine is a picture frame, so I'm going to find a nice decoratvie background template, then type in the names on my own, with a pretty cool font that I downloaded from a website.

What template did you use? Was it from MS Word?

Uggh I think I'm stuck just doing it by hand- I'm so limited in time and I just wanted them to look decent so we'll see.

I'll definitley post a picture of what I have done so far by tonight.

No I didnt even start. My friend (who writes like a calligrapher) supposed to do it by hand but I didnt even get the cards yet! I ordered them and hopefully they will be here on Wednesday....that will give her a full week to do them (I need them next wednesday to bring them to Leonards on Thursday) . Only one problem....Im having 370 people!!! She better write fast.

We'll be doing them on the computer....much faster than handwriting for me I think!
