table names instead of numbers question

table names instead of numbers question

Those of you doing this, are you writing on the placecard:

Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Bahamas (or other table name)

or

Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Bahamas (1)

I think I might do the # too so they know where to look for the table.

Any opinions?

I think that numbering them as well makes the most sense. That being said, we're naming them so that my divorced parents don't argue over who sits at table #1 and who sits at table #2. I'm just going to make a seating chart and get it printed on posterboard so that people can find their tables easier.

I'm doing both so that there is no confusion. I am also having a picture in a frame on each table showing the city that the table is named for - we're doing an Italian theme wedding, so the tables will be named Amalfi, Capri, Positano, and so on.
