TABLE NUMBERS & RHINESTONES -HELP!

I was thinking of making table numbers out of ivory card stock and Blue Rhinestones. I was going to trace each number with a pencil and then fill in the entire number with the rhinestones. My questions are:
1. Has anyone ever done something similar?
2. Do you think this is a good idea or too much work?
3. I have been looking for Rhinestones in bulk- (approx. 8-10 gross) and I want them about 4 or 5 mm in size. Where can I get these?!

I think you would be able to do that nicely with rhinestones. I would get 12ss and 16ss rhinestones which should allow you use both sizes to 'fill in' your numbers. Sometimes you need smaller/bigger sizes to cover the area evenly.

I would rec. ebay for your rhinestones. You can find almost any shade or color in large quantities!

Rhinestone Quality/Grades
$$$$Swarovski® Austrian Cut-Crystal Rhinestones are absolutely the finest stones available, and are the standard against which all other rhinestones are judged.

$$$Czech (and some Asian) Cut-Crystal stones are very close in quality to Swarovski® Austrian Cut-Crystal stones, and are typically a little cheaper.

$$Molded 'crystal' Stones - many Czech and Asian 'crystal' stones are actually molded to shape rather than cut, and this degrades the quality of the stone quite a bit.

$Acrylic stones are molded plastic.

i think its a lot of work, but will look beautiful in the end.....spread the work out do like 2 tables a week.....as for where to buy them......EBAY!!!!!

thanks girls! I think I am going to go ahead and do it, but I agree I am going to get some larger stones. I have been checking out michaels and joanne crafts and they do not sell in large enough quantities so I will be shopping on ebay.

You're always so helpful with the info that you give!!

See those are the rhinestones that I was also looking at to buy, but they are only 3mm in size. Though I think they will look beautiful I am trying to make it a little easier on myself by getting ones that are a little bigger.
I am having no luck! Am I missing them? Help!
