Okay I have a question. Im expecting around 220 guests for my wedding reception. I can go with either 22 tables with 10 chairs to each. Or I can go with 18 tables with 12 chairs to each. What do you suggest? Im getting confused now... They told me I could have a couple of tables with 14 chairs. What do you think??

when do you need to decide? can you make table arrangements and see what is best for your guests and the way you need to arrange them?
10 might be better than 12 because less crowded, but then again if you go with tables of 12 you save 4 centerpieces which is $$$$. are the tables a tight fit with 12?

Re: tablecards
i had the same issue, i had over 250 at my e party, this is what i suggest
MAKE YOUR SEATING CHART FIRST
then you can decide and mix and match 12 and 10 tables (which is what i did) i had about seven tables that sat 12 and 20 that sat 10.
not sure what linens you're doing, but if youre going for floor length, make sure the tables that seat 12 have linens that fit, i kept stressing this with my rh, because i didnt want them to forget. hope that helps

Re: tablecards
We have quite a mix of #'s....some even less than 10 because while we were doing the table seating, there was just no way of combining certain tables without going over the 12 max. i'm not sure if you should go with 14 though....unless those tables are bigger, because that might be a tight fit.

Re: tablecards
We're going with different size tables so we don't have to fit 2 people in with people they don't know.
You can have all three sizes, maybe you might need one table of 14 to accommodate everyone but I would suggest staying with 10 and 12's.

Re: tablecards
on avg we have about 12 people on each table.. some have 10 and i think we have two or three with 14.. you can't really break a 'group' apart..
