so many diff. types of materials...which are your faves ladies? and why?
I've always been partial to satin and lace =) its just so elegant and the lace is so romantic!

I like all of the above...except taffeta....something about it reallllly bothers me. I think the sound or something...I'm a weirdo i know.

i like satin and lace too, but my wedding dress is actually tulle! i would have never ever thought i would be in a tulle dress...doesnt even look like it.

Silk satin or Satin.
Or Silk Taffeta is OK too.
my gown is silk satin and lace and I love it!
Taffeta by itself is too thin IMO and it makes that sound.
Of course, taffeta gowns are cheaper than satin/silk satin usually so just keep that in mind.

My dress is taffeta. Those other fabrics are beautiful but I went with taffeta because of the weight. It's a silk taffeta so it doesn't have that 'sound' or 'feeling' you guys are talking about. I would die in August if my dress were any other fabric, and the shine looks amazing in pictures.

I know EXACTLY what you're talkign about. itried on some taffeta dresses and they were so cool...i loved them!

I prefer silk, i do like chiffon depending on the dress. its not easy to find a lace bm dress. taffeta is hard because its usually iridescent which makes the color look weird.
