I love Lazaro's BM dresses but most of them are iridescent taffeta. Has anyone used this kind of material? How does it photograph? I think cheesey 80's proms when I hear taffeta. Opinions?

I am using the new taffeta dresses from Lazaro w/ the lace. I took pictures at the salon and they came out fine (I'll see if I can find them and post them for you). The dresses are rust, so they are pretty dark, but it goes with my whole fall theme.

I am using a Lazaro dress for my BMs that originally came in iridescent taffeta (i think), but I didn't like the colours so they did a fabric change for me. It cost a little more, but the dresses are really cool.

My BMs are getting irridescent taffetta in Wine and I was concerned about the same thing you are talking about. I took some pics in the daylight and inside and it didn't come out looking like the 80's look I was worried about too.

My daughter's BM's just wore Lazaro gowns and they looked gorgeous in person as well as in the photos. That fabric was not cheesy at all. Check out my thread and there is a link so you can see how they looked. Everyone raved how beasutiful they were and the one gown was equally becoming on all the girls - tall and short. 'I added more pictures of my daughter's wedding...' You'll probably have to do a search cause I don't know how to create a link. Sorry.
If you go with Lazaro, let me know. I have some suggestions for you.

I had vera wang navy blue taffeta dresses and I don't think that they looked cheesy 80's prom JMO. Check out photos if you would like to see what they looked like. My proofs
