Do a search on here for Tahiti - there is soo much helpful information. I'm in the midst of working with my travel agent to book Tahiti (Morrea and Bora Bora). Seems and sounds like a heavenly place - can't wait!! Good luck!

I JUST BOOKED MY HONEYMOON TO TAHITI. I WORKED WITH A WOMAN WHO WAS SUCH A BIG HELP...HER NAME WAS VALERIE PETILLO @ CREATIVE TRAVEL 631-424-3500. I ENDED UP BOOKING THE BORA BORA NIU, IT LOOKED THE NICEST OUT OF THEM ALL PRICEY BUT YOU WILL ONLY DO THIS ONCE.

5 nights Bora Bora and 5 nights Morrea. I can't wait. It is suppose to be incredibly beautiful!

I am planning on going to Tahiti too! I want to do a trip to Bora Bora, Moorea, and maybe even Huahine...Does anyone know a good travel agent that does these types of trips with good package prices? We have our heart set on the Bora Bora Nui and want that has part of the package!

where did you stay in moorea & bora bora? what restaurants are good??

we stayed at the intercontinental beachcomber hotels on all 3 islands. they were AMAZING. SO gorgeous ... so luxurious. but very expensive.

i'll do a whole review soon with restaurants and all so look out for that.. i have SO MUCH to write about!

HAS ANYONE STAYED AT THE BORA BORA NUI OR THE SHERIDAN IN TAHITI? SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT BORA BORA AND TAHITI IS VERY CASUAL AND SUGESTIONS?

I went to Tahiti, Moorea and Bora-Bora three years ago and booked through tahiti-explorer.com (net?) and it was absolutely beautiful. My suggestion for the trip is to definitely splurge for the over the water bungalows on Moorea and Bora Bora. I would also do Moorea first. Moorea is beautiful, but Bora-Bora is amazing and I think if you went in the reverse order, you wouldn't appreciate the beauty of Moorea as much.

Another suggestion, which is going to be my next trip is the Cook Islands, they are west of French Polynesia and are supposed to be just as beautiful and less expensive. They use New Zealand dollars there and the exchange rate is pretty good. You may want to check that out as well. Good luck to you!

We recently honeymooned in Moorea, Bora Bora, Raiatea and Huahine (June 9-22, 2003). Some of you asked about Bora Bora Nui hotel - we stayed there during our visit and posted on it in the following post:

Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora are the most beautiful places on earth!!! We had the best time of our lives. I've been to over 25 countries so I've seen quite a lot, but Bora Bora is just more beautiful than anywhere in the world!!! Do a search under my name and check out my review - I wrote nearly a book when I returned Oct. 2002. Good luck !!! Here's a pic...
