Tahiti

I`ll be going to Tahiti for my honeymoon the end of April for 12 days....We`re going to Moorea (the Sheraton), Huahine (Te Taire resort) and Bora Bora (Sofitel Motu). I used New Millennium tours (1-800-772-9231) and found them to be very helpful. I did a lot of research on my own first and then had just a few questions for them. We`re paying a bit more because I wanted over water bungalows and certain hotels (approx $9,000 w/out meals or extras) but you can get a better rate if you take one of their standard packages or go for less time. Let me know if you have any more questions...I`ll let you know what I`ve found during my research.

NicoleD - I went to Tahiti last June

We booked through a travel agent in California (where we live) and used Pleasant Tahitian Holidays as the tour company. We went for a total of 11 days (not including travel)...5 nights on Moorea at the Sheraton (was magnificent!) and 5 nights on Bora Bora at the Pearl Beach Resort (was also magnificent and food was incredible!). Our last night was in Papeete, on the main island of Tahiti at the Sofitel Maeva Beach resort. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Feel free to email me at [email protected].

Tahiti

We just booked Tahiti for our November 2, 2002 wedding. We are going for 10 days not including travel. On Moorea we are staying in a overwater bungalow at the Sheraton, in Bora Bora a beach bungalow at the Le Meridien, and our last night will be in Tahiti at the Sheraton. I booked through our regular travel agent, which tour group she used I am not sure. We are paying with food included as well as air to LA aprox. $8,000. If I could help with anything else please let me know and good luck!

Tahiti was the runner-up(long)

We wanted to go to Tahiti but went with Bali instead. The only reason I wanted to go to Tahiti was the over-the-water-bungalows and that wasn't a good enough reason to go there. But Bali was recommended by alot of people that I know. There's lots more to do in Bali than in Tahiti. Both places have other islands to hop to but Bali had the intimate private villas with infinity plunge pools. There is lots of cheap shopping and beautiful beaches. We have 3 weeks vacation and wanted to visit 2 places and not feel bored so We opted to go to Bali(15days) and Hong Kong(5days). For Tahiti we looked online at the LeMeridien Tahiti and LeMeriedien Bora Bora which we felt was gorgeous but in the end we wanted to go visit Asia instead. We made a promise that we will go to Tahiti before we have kids.

Tahiti--I went for my honeymoon last April...

Unfortunately the cruise line that we went on recently went bankrupt, Renaissance Cruise Lines, which sucks, b/c they we FABULOUS!!! However, I understand that the Paul Ganguin Cruise does the same itinerary. We went to Papeete, Bora Bora, Moorea, Huahine and Raitea. GORGEOUS!!!! Best choice we could have ever made. It was a 10 day cruise. Good Luck, Ayanna-Anubride
