AHHHHHHH what an amazing place, I have heard great things, but also heard there is no night life there, but a great place for activites and relaxation etc etc. Not the right HM for FH and I but one day I would love to visit that place and stay in those huts hotels also one day I have to go to the Galapagos Islands , heaven on earth

Re: TAHITI AND HER ISLANDS
I think one of the other brides who went said in her review that a high-end dinner with wine would typically cost $300 USD.
I just came back from there myself and although DH and I didn't go crazy with the appetizers and drinks, it was not unheard of to have $150 dinners. We went to Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Moorea.
At the bargain food carts (called 'roulottes'), a basic meal is going to cost $10-$12. On the islands we went to, the roulottes are usually open during the day only. The exception is Tahiti, where the roulottes open up after dark in the capital city of Papeete. But most couples don't hang around Tahiti.
To get more info on where to dine, read the Frommer's guide to Tahiti and French Polynesia. That book was very helpful in pinpointing where to eat at all price points.
