Anyone have, or heard any experience with this? My fiance and I just got back from an AMAZING vacation- cruising in the caribbean- we went to a bunch of islands- never having to unpack & repack - we loved the feeling of 'home' that we felt when we came back to the ship at night- all in all we really loved it. We were thinking of Tahiti for our honeymoon- but the thought of staying a few nights here & there didnt really sound like something we would enjoy. So-- cruising seemed to be the answer!! The tahitian princess is a MUCH smaller ship than the one we just went on-- the ship we were on held 2500 passengers, while the Tahitian princess only holds 670. What does everyone think of this? I would love to hear some expirience with cruising-- Thanks so much!

Re: Tahitian Princess
We just came back from Tahiti- I did a review on the 07 board. We saw the Princess, I told my husband the next time we go, thats what we are doing. It looked beautiful!

We're doing the RSSC Paul Gaugain cruise in Tahiti, its even smaller, only like 300 people. A friend of mine from work did the TP and loved it, so I'm sure it would be great as well. Check out cruisecritic.com, people post reviews there!

Re: Tahitian Princess
FH and I researched this and people had some mixed reviews about it...
the itinerary says you go to the cook islands but most of the time it seemed like the ship never made it there due to conditions(the swell or whatever the terminology is!) so it meant more time at sea and less time on the islands.. it is a great way to see the FP but if you dont mind spending 3 or 4 days at sea then go for it... also it sounded like there were lots of older people on board..
the Paul Gaugnin(sp?) mentioned above looked beautiful but didnt fit our dates.. if we had to pick we were going to pick that one.. it is smaller and more intimate....and i liked their 7 day itinerary better... had a nice split between borabora and moorea..

Re: Tahitian Princess
i took the tahitian princess on my 12 night cruise for my HM. it was amazing! i've been on 3 cruises and i actually loved that this was a small ship.
i got motion sickness the first few days and i would have been fine if i had had dramamine.
there weren't a lot of older people at all--it was mainly honeymooners and NO kids which i loved! we saw tahiti, bora bora, moorea, raiataea, christmas island and 4 islands in hawaii. there was more than enough time on each island, and we were only out to sea for 3 days while traveling from french polynesia to hawaii with christmas island as a stopping point midway.
if you want more info, check out my review, HM review on the tahiti thread or FM me

Re: Tahitian Princess
we booked this ship for our Honeymoon!! ours is a 12 day cruise to Hawaii and Tahiti. We start out in Hawaii on a Monday and we are staying 2 days pre-cruise at the Royal Hawaiian on Waikikki Beach. Then the cruise leaves Wednesday!! We can't wait. We booked the hotel, cruise and airfare all through Princess. We originally wanted to stritly do Tahiti but it was too pricey for us. And we have cruised Princess before and loved it. So this was the best option for us $$-wise and we get to see 2 great locations. And only have to unpack once like you said which was even better. Let me know if I can give you any more info. Also my friends parents did this cruised and raved about it as well -- that's actually how we found out about it.
