TA/honeymoon question

how long should it take for a TA to get you an idea of an itinerary for your honeymoon?

Here is what happened...i booked my flights using mileage for Costa Rica and was then my aunt referred me to a company who specializes in Costa Rica trips so last week on Wed i emailed the lady. They are based in North Carolina so it is no one I can meet in person or stop by to check in...
anyway, i emailed Wed and last Fri got a response that she saw my email but was out and will work on an itinerary based on the criteria i had given her. That was at 5pm last friday. I havent heard from her since
what do I do? do i patiently wait (which is fine - we arent going away until Feb 2012) or do i send an email to her asking whats taking so long (in nicer words lol). I dont have anyone else to really trust to book with and it is my aunts recommendation so i do trust her. how long before i start looking for another TA???

edit - i NEVER used a TA before so i have no idea what the time line is for them to plan a trip

I'd start looking now... there are a lot of reputable agencies on LI you can deal with.

as a former TA - I would get info to my clients same day or with in 24 hours - and if I couldn't, I'd let them know.

It honestly doesn't take over a week to put together an itinerary and get quotes.

And honestly - I wouldn't want to give my money or plan such an important trip with someone who is already showing a lack of good communication.

I was thinking the same thing but since i never used a TA in the past I was not sure what the standard timeline is

why are you using a company in North Carolina for your TA? i would use someone local so that I could meet with them, if I had to.
I don't know where you are located but I am using Smile Travel bureau in Brooklyn. Victoria always gets back to me within hours of my asking anything of her.
I know a lot of girls here have used LIW preferred vendors who they have gotten great deals with as well. I would use one of them before i use someone out of state.
There is no reason you need to book with a TA for your HM, some girls do it all themselves, but if you want the extra help, go for it!
