I don't know if the baby could just use the take along in the house as well as..take along with us. Is there a big difference between the swing and bouncy seat?
For us, the bouncy seat was a must have! It was worth its weight in gold. We have the stationary swing as well and get good use out of it. We never got the take-along swing. To tell you the truth, I didn't even think about getting one. I think we survived just fine without it though it might have come in handy on a few occasions. If you plan on travelling to visit family, etc., a lot it might be good to have.
There are so many things to think of... sometimes it can drive you crazy! Hang in there!
Bouncer seat is a must in my book too! It is my lifesaver. Highly recommend it.
The swing wasn't used much at first he didn't like it but now I finally can get Kevin to nap in there for his long afternoon nap (rather than in my arms the only place he would prior to this). So it is so worth it for me. Although Kevin tries to twist in it in hopes to get it to bounce like the bouncer. lol
I don't go many places that I found reason to have the take along swing so I never got one. Uually the carriage/carrier is fine. But I do take the bouncer when I go to the grandparents now!
I got the take-along swing and the bouncy seat. I plan to see if the baby likes to swing - if she does and we feel we need it we will get the stationary swing. We have very limited space, so I am trying to not be duplicative.
Bouncy seat is a must! My son LIVED in this for the first few weeks. The travel swing I used twice I think for when we went to visit relatives we were able to put him in it to nap in another room. The bigger swing I used almost every day. Id say register for them and if you are not sure after baby is born, keep the box!! then return it. BRU is great with taking stuff back w/o a receipt.
I would go for the bouncer and the stationary swing. I found no use for the travel swing and would up returning it. Unless you're planning on having a relative take care of the baby if you're going back to work. Then the take along swing is a nice option to have.
I had all of them and my son hated the bouncy seat from day 1. The take along swing is okay although it is not very powerful and not as fluffy as a stationary swing. I don't know which stationary swing you may be looking into but we have the Fisher Price Nature's Touch Baby Papasan Cradle Swing and in our case that thing is totally worth it's weight in gold. 2 of my girlfriends have it also and they love it too.
We are limited on space so I don't want to get TOOOOOO much.
How long can they go into the bouncy seat for? (I mean months). I remember my nephew loved it when he was an infant but I don't know how long he stayed in it for
We have the bouncy seat which is a must have! She is now 5 months and I just stopped using it because she tries to roll out!..we Also have the FP aquarium travel swing and it worked out well for us, since we have limited space. She likes it and we can easily take it to the grandparents!

not sure months but per the info it says up to 25lbs - Kevin is about 15lbs or so and he is fine in it at 3 mos old.
eta. the take along swing lasted the least amount of time b/c it is pretty weak to begin with and as he gained weight it just got slower and slower until it didnt swing. I got it to keep at my moms house b/c he loved his stationary swing so much but she didnt have room for one at her house.
Anthony used his bouncy seat the longist!! he used to fall asleep in it all the time
