Takeout boxes - question

Takeout boxes - question

I am planning an having a candyt buffet and wanted to get take out boxes for people to put the candy in.
Should I get the 8 oz or 16 oz size?
8 oz is a half pint - the box is 3'L x 2-1/4'W x 2-1/2'H - is that too small?
TIA

what kinds of candy are you getting? If it's all tiny stuff like m&ms the small size would probably be fine, but if you're doing big stuff like lollipops/twizzlers/etc, you might want the bigger size!

I'm so size challenged!
We are having some tiny stuff, but also Lindt truffles and very cool customized rock candy sticks:

They're ~ 6' long, but I do't really think they will fit in the larger size either.
Maybe I should just use bags...

Have you thought about using tin-tie bags? That's what I'm planning on getting though I haven't ordered them yet. Think...the bags that you put ground coffee beans in. They come in 1/4, 1/2 and 1 lb bags. With a window and w/o.

If you are going to do things like rock candy sticks, I would maybe look into different bags that are available. I used the small takeout boxes for our favors (we did 4 lindt truffles in each) but it really won't fit more than that.

i wouls go with the smaller on b/c then it gives everyone more opt on what to take home.

Hmmm... those look pretty good, now I just have to find them in our colors (cornflower and charcoal) or something complementary. I don't know if I like the white ones.
Why can I make my mind up about the big stuff, but get completely hunjg up on the small stuff?

I would def. look into the bags instead...maybe go with the candy theme - like with the big scoopers and such! You could find a clear bag with a dark silver detail - that sounds like it would go - check out Anne's Bridal Bargains! Good Luck!

do you need to get permission from the RH to do one???? I know westbury manor had one set up at their showcase.....does that mean I cant do a DIY one?

different RHs have different rules..so u gotta check with ur own...

I'm planning on doing a candy buffet and I think the smaller 1/2 pt boxes are gonna be perfect (esp on my wallet...people will be able to fill up the whole thing w/o breaking our bank)
and i plan on having candy sticks...but to me, those are cute to maybe just stick out of the box or for someone to eat right away..

I am definitely doing a candy bar with bags. I didn't know what they were called but I guess I want those tin-tie bags. I am going to do a bag that notches our colors and make a sticker that says our names and love sweet love.
