Taking home Viennesse Desserts--is there an extra charge?
I was thinking about providing guests with to-go boxes so that they could take home the desserts from Viennesse hour. I know guest may be full from dinner and coctail hour to fully enjoy the Viennesse...and hey we're paying the extra money so I would like for the guests to be able to take some desserts home as an extra favor. Does anyone know if catering halls charge extra for this? ( ETA : I will provide the boxes) TIA

My RH provided the boxes for us. You might want to call and ask if Jericho Terrace does too!

I think it depends on the hall. I bought pastry boxes to do just the same thing. I guess I should call my hall and make sure it's ok, lol, though I don't see it being a problem since I'm paying for it anyway!

yeah they should not charge you for it. You paid for it, you should be allowed to take it home. I've seen lots of wedding where boxes were provided for guest to load up on goodies to take home. Like PP said, just call and make sure and see if the boxes are already provided.

same here - we just had to ask for the boxes & believe me the guests LOVED that!

I can't see why they would charge you extra. You are already paying for it. Too ask you to pay again would be nuts!!

That's what I was thinking too..since we're paying for it already, why not?? I read on an older post that someone said they had to pay extra, so that made me think that maybe I was assuming I can take desserts home...so just wanted to make sure with u fabulous girls that I wasn't crazy for assuming! Guess I will ask just to make sure! Thanks girls!!

I just went to my semi-final meeting at JT last week and we said we were going to be providing goody bags to take home food from Viennese and they didn't mention anything about paying extra. You're already paying for all the food lol HTH P.S. I saw the renovation work in the Dome Room! Absolutely gorgeous!!!!!
