i know i'm far off and i don't even have a hall yet, but i can't stop wondering about this....a couple of the places on our list had a few good photo ops outdoors and really no good photo spots indoors. what would we do about photos in the event of inclement weather? just make the best of whatever indoor space there is?

i know! but that's what i mean... in the places we're looking at, there's really nowhere indoors to take photographs! the entrance hall to the RH is very small... we'd have to clear people out of the ballroom LOL i'm sooo nervous about that. i know i shouldn't even think about it!

I guess just make the best of it. Westbury Manor has a small upstairs space for taking pictures and around the Manor there are different spots but I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying for sunshine!

Depending on who you choose for your Rh; some pics can be taken inside.
Some brides have done day after shoots if it rains. I don't know if you want to you that has an option

Haven't even thought of it yet. Our RH has beautiful inside areas, so I will be more than happy to use those.

I've seen a bunch of nice pictures with umbrellas and tons in gazebos with the rain falling down. I think your photographer will be able to figure something out.

Kristi, thanks for this - great point! i actually just googled 'photos on rainy wedding day' or something like that and saw the most creative, beautiful rainy shots!!! they actually looked more artsy than if it weren't raining LOL (not that i'm going to wish for rain now, but it gives me a lot more confidence and puts me at ease because the world will not end if we're wet in the photos!

I asked my photographer the same thing!
I'm really hoping for no rain because after the reception we're going to the beach to take sunset shots.
And yes, I'm going to do the whole trash the dress thing!

He laughed and said, 'Well, that's why we pray for no rain.' LOL
He said he'll come up with a back-up plan once he knows where we're having the reception.

totally agree with you - i said the same thing about the umbrellas. if i got married at SC, there's nothing that would keep me from taking photos outdoors!!!

a lot of the RH's we looked at didn't have any good indoor areas we still have EW Country Gardens on our list and there's nowhere inside to really take our photos!
