Taking pictures at the beach before...

The beach is very close to East Wind and I was thinking of doing some pictures there. I am just nervous about my dress at the beach. I dont want it to get dirty right before the ceremony....

I guess so!
I thought maybe someone who has done it already would say that i have nothing to worry about. But no one did so that makes me nervous!

if the sand is dry you'll probably be OK but i'd ask your photographer....

we took pictures before the ceremony and i wanted to take some out on the grassy area in front of the gazebo and my photog warned that the grass was a little wet from morning dew and it might stain my raw silk dress. we waited to take those pictures until after the ceremony (also gave the grass time to dry up)

Re: Taking pictures at the beach before...

I was the MOH at a wedding this past July and she also took her pictures at the beach before the ceremony. Nothing went wrong with her dress at all. But it depends on the style. Hers was very simple and elegant so it was easily held up while walking around on the sand and rocks. And the pictures came out GORGEOUS!!! My only personal complaint was the sand in my shoes (which was easily shaken out before the ceremony) and the wind messing with my hair. By the time the ceremony got started I felt like such a mess, but pictures prove that I was just paranoid - i looked fine. lol.

So my advice is to make sure you're not wearing a huge puffy dress that you wont be able to pick up from the sand as you walk, take off your shoes, and wear lots of hairspray!

Good luck! Beach pictures are BEAUTIFUL! I would probably be considering that if my wedding wasn't in the middle of the winter.
