Did anyone take their pictures at the watermill? What happens if cocktail hour is outside, then where can you take pictures?

Ohh, never thought about that since I'm getting married there and will take them outside before the wedding.

FH and I have decided to get to the hall earlier before the ceremony begins and do pics outside and in. We are going to not be supersticious and see eachother before the ceremony starts. I think it really is better that way. Your entire bridal party is all fresh, hair is perfect. Makeup is beautiful and everyone looks like they just came out of the cleaners!! So to me, that will make for wonderful pics. I really want to attend my cocktail hour and not have to miss any part of my wedding.

We arrived at the Watermill about 40 min before cocktail hour started and took all of our family pics. They came out really nice!

You can do that, but also, they have two sides for outdoor cocktail hours and neither ever go on at the same time... so you can go to the side where your cocktail hour isn't!

We did our pics before the ceremony there, but your photographer and Maitre D will find places for you, believe me. There's more room there than you think and they are used to this.

I went to a wedding at the Watermill and there was an outdoor CH. The bride and groom went over to that back waterfall to take pictures. Everyone was so busy eating, they didn't even notice.

Well, we had indoor CH so I'm not sure I can help....but we arrived before our CH so that we wouldn't miss it and took pics (our wedding was March, it was a gorgeous day but too cold at night) inside (foyer, near mantles, etc). We got gorgeous pics, so don't worry if it's bad weather or something. You still get great shots inside.
